This does a great job on getting the finish you want on your tumbled rocks
I have decided to quit stockpiling rocks and get off my but and polish them all. I am in Montana and have a lot of petrified wood and moss agate. This stuff works well to grind the rocks to move on to the next stage. I like that it comes in the little bucket. they stack well and are labeled. Keeps the tumbling area neat and I don't have to worry about the container breaking or ripping.

High quality grit for rock tumbling. You get a lot for the price. Works great

Worst grit
Worst Tumblr media I've bought. Doesn't polish rocks as it should

Good price and quality material
I'm still working through my previous order of a different brand, but an initial look at this grit seems fine. I'll update the review if needed after the first use, but I don't foresee and issues.

Works great to add shine
I got this 8 LB - Step 3 tumbling grit because after running my first load of rocks with the grit that came with the machine I realized that I needed much more to get the rocks to come out shiny. That means I had too little the first time or that sometimes 1 cycle isn't enough. Either way more grit is needed for each step. I already have more coarse grit, so I needed something in between. I believe this grit works because my rocks came out shiny this time without having too be refreshed with water to see the shine. I still need to run a load that hasn't been done before to be more certain sure that this is as helpful as it feels it is so far. With this large bucket of grit I'll have no privilege getting many more cycles of tumbling done.
