This portable Stainless Steel Umbrella Anchor is wonderful! Expensive, but wonderful and worth it. Very heavy, very well made, very convenient, and very easy to use. Much nicer than dragging around a heavy standard umbrella base. Highly recommended.

Loved the idea of this, and it worked great the first time! Then when we placed it in a new location the next day, one of the stakes snapped right off. Unfortunate.

I chose this umbrella holder to use as a replacement base for an old freestanding pole with multiple hooks to hang bird feeders. This base is overkill for my purpose, but the adjustment knobs allow this to serve as a fairly secure anchor for any pole with a diameter from 1-5/8" down to about 3/4". The quality and construction are outstanding. Heavy materials, sound welds, and a very attractive finish make this look like a fixture that belongs outside an upscale hotel or restaurant.I was a little surprised there wasn't a sheet with an assembly diagram included, but it is straightforward and obvious what goes where. I also noticed the inside of the box has what I suspect is a small signature written in Chinese. If the skilled craftsperson who fabricated this felt the urge to sign their work, that was completely justified. This is an outstanding piece I expect will serve for many years.

This is a great portable umbrella holder solution. The "prongs" are all attached to one stable bolt that screws into the base the nuts on the side are welded to a solid tube with four machine screws to clamp onto the umbrella shaft. These screws have finger knobs making it unnecessary to use any tools to assemble or disassemble. The design of the prongs makes it appear you may be able to step on them to press the further into a firm surface.As a HAM radio enthusiast, I can envision also using this as a temporary antenna base as well. I would caution on placing too tall or too heavy of a mast into the base, but under good weather conditions it could serve well as mast holder and even provide a little bit of grounding benefit as you have an all steel connection from base to prongs.One caution for ANY usage, always be aware of changing weather conditions and be ready to take this down quickly. IF it were to fly while attached to an umbrella it could become a danger to anyone with the long sharp spikes flying through the air.As a Vine reviewer nobody "buys" a 5-star review from me. This is a product I would buy at a very fair price for the quality of it's construction.
