Tastes just like the Japanese Hojicha I had in Japan. But you have to make sure you steam your milk! Tastes amazing, but a little pricey for me. I don't think it's too sweet, it is just right.

The tea has a pleasant roasted scent and flavor. I added non-dairy creamer to it, and it made it even more smooth. Had similarities to strong milk tea.

I don't like my matcha too sweet, and a lot of the mixed packets I've tried have been far too sweet (read- gross) for me. I'm happy I've finally found a product that has just a very slight sweetness added that let the delicious matcha flavor shine like it is supposed to. This stuff is DELICIOUS! The quality is fantastic- very fresh, wonderful scent (both in the packets and when the drink is made) and it mixes very well without getting chunky or chalky. At home I will put one of these in my milk brother for a gorgeous and delicious latte. At work I mix a packet in my shaker bottle and it's just as tasty. I love that these have a high quantity of matcha, so you get all the valuable health benefits and that nice little boost of energy without a crash. These are the way to go for matcha on the go! Especially if you don't like a super sweet drink. Easy to use- anywhere, excellent quality and SUPER tasty... I HIGHLY recommend these sticks!

Once of my favorite local Boba shops got me hooked on Hojicha. As a BIG matcha enthusiast, the flavor was really enjoyable, I didn't do much research but this product caught my eyes at WholeFoods and Amazon was having a sale. Sure enough, this is so incredibly close to that flavor I was hoping for and not too bad on price, especially since my local shop charges $7 a drink. It blends well and is just the right sweetness, though you can use a little brown sugar syrup- personally thats my favorite way!

I'm giving this full stars because it tastes really good. It's easy to use--you just open up a package and stir the contents into 6oz of milk of your choice (I used soy). When cold it can take a bit of stirring to dissolve all of it. A trick is to mix just enough milk with the powder to form a slurry and then add the rest. Anyway, it's very flavorful and has a rich nutty profile. I will say that I do not understand how the "to-go" aspect is supposed to work in real life. I think I would have limited uses. Like if you work in an office with a fridge where you can store milk. But since you need milk and not water, you can't truly mix this "on the go" like in your car or while traveling.
