Great little device!
Does the job as advertised and you cannot beat the price for something that takes all the guesswork out of determining battery condition. I’m very, very happy with this battery tester.

seems to work good
used it once. (should have bought years ago). assuming the load is as advertised, product seemed to work fine. why did my battery go dead, and then i charge it up and it test great? no idea. battery still working just fine so i think this was correct.

Load testing battery
Good for checking battery health. Check for charge and test battery health under load. When you push button to test for load, do it briefly or you'll start to smell electrical burn smell. Don't know if this is normal, but employee at auto parts store that had similar model, mentioned the burnt smell if you kept pressing the load button. Seems to work fine and I can load test my batteries at home.

A Great Battery testing tool
A great easy to use battery testing tool. This tool was recommended by the commercial pool vacuum company to check the vacuum power source...a 12V Deep Cycle Battery. In addition this tester can be used on all types of marine, auto/truck and lawn tractor batteries. Very inexpensive, but valuable tool.

Nearly useless - bad meter
Very low quality meter. Upon opening, the meter was off zero and couldn't be zeroed. When applied to a battery, the meter needle would stick at a false value. After disassembly, I was able to repair the zero adjust, but the needle would still stick in mid-swing. The needle was also bent and the paint was chipped indicating careless handling during assembly. The only way to use this is to have a known good voltmeter across the battery terminals, which I have. Otherwise, you risk faulty battery condition readings.I will keep this thing, because I have no faith that an exchange will yield better results and I need a battery load tester no matter how worthless the meter reading.
