Feedback: The RO is a good product, but the water flow is quite slow. The tap design also needs improvement—the handle should be on the top instead of underneath, as it causes water to splash when releasing it after filling a glass. Also, the technician charged an additional ₹1,070 for installing some extra items, which was unexpected. These extra charges should be clearly informed beforehand.

This is basic RO water purifier from Aquaguard. my usage was mainly with municipal water but to protect against contaminated Kaveri water (TDS wise RO was not required but from other mineral contamination and impurities), I had gone with RO purifier. Although it claims its 60% higher water recovery compared to normal RO, its actually other way, this for municipal water, it wastes 1.5 x (for 1 litre water purified, it wastes 1.5 litre water out). i got this for exchange and got it at good discount during May'26 sales for 6.9K. installation was promt and there was no over selling of anything. It already came with outside sediment filter. The TDS adjustment will cost additional 350 rupees. but im not keen on that as TDS adjustment would mean mixing the normal water with RO water to increase the TDS level. This comes with MC Tech, hence i was expecting the water to be tasting better, but this still shows TDS level of 30. which is very low. since this comes with 2 year filter life, in the long run this is supposed to be economical compared to other RO purifiers which requires every year filter change. Tap quality could have been better, it looks very flimsy and might not survive the long term usage. even i was thinking of going for same model with stainless steel tank, but price difference between plastic and stainless steel was like 4.5K, i was like for 5 litre SS tank, what kind of absurd pricing they keep. (SS tank based RO should be at maximum 1500 Rs differential)

Good water purifier that gets the job done. The filtration works great—it brought down the TDS effectively, and the water tastes fresh and clean with no chemical odor. The build quality is compact and fits nicely in the kitchen without taking up too much space. Water wastage is also relatively lower compared to standard RO models. Deducting one star only because the dispensing flow could be slightly faster and installation took a couple of days to schedule. Overall, reliable value for money.

The water purifier itself seems good, but I had a disappointing experience with the installation technician. The technician showed me a TDS meter reading of 900+ ppm and recommended that I purchase an additional pre-filter. I declined because a pre-filter is primarily meant to remove suspended particles/impurities and does not reduce TDS. What concerned me more was that the technician did not check the TDS of the purified water after installation. He also told me that the filter warranty was only 1 year. I specifically chose this model because it was advertised with a 2-year filter warranty, so this was concerning. I use corporation water, and I didn't expect the TDS to be anywhere near 900 ppm. I checked the water myself using the TDS meter that came with the purifier: Corporation water: 284 ppm Borewell water: 827 ppm I cross-checked the readings with another TDS meter, which showed: Corporation water: 286 ppm Borewell water: 832 ppm

The product was really good overall. However, I noticed that the water taste is slightly different compared to the water from a regular water filter. Because of this, I felt the taste was not quite up to the mark. Apart from that, the product is working really well and is in good condition.

The product is good. The customer service isn’t so great though. He wouldn’t show up when he promised that he would. So, please be prepared. He wouldn’t show try to upsell you stuff saying I would need a valve for water pressure or that the TDS is higher than expected etc. when you buy the add on he offers, he wouldn’t give any receipt. Other than the customer experience, the product is good. I tested the TDS before and after installation and the water purifier is working as desired. Before installation the TDS was 404(bore well water) and after installation it is 53. So I am quite satisfied with the product.

The product is great but be aware of the installer trying to have extra things installed. In my case he wanted to have pressure regulator installed despite the fact that ours is a 3 floor tank storage to 1st floor with absolutely no extra pressure. He also wanted to install PL 6 valves worth 200 rs, later on arguing he adjusted the pre installed PL 4 by attaching a small PL 4 tube to the PL 6. He could have silently done this but wanted to earn few extra bucks. He also did not wait till the tank was full. I gave the OTP as I had an aquaguard earlier and knew that they would attend fast in case of complaints to a machine under warranty (especially in Metro city ).
