5 Stars! Queen Elsie Silver does it again!
I’ll be honest, I didn’t love the first book in the Rose Hill series as much as her Gold Rush Ranch and Chestnut Springs series, which made me a little hesitant to dive into Wild Eyes. However, I'm so glad I did because I quickly fell in love with Weston "West" Belmont.West is a dedicated horse trainer and single father living in the picturesque town of Rose Hill. His life revolves around his two children, Emmy and Oliver (Ollie), and his work on the ranch. Enter Skylar Stone, a renowned country music star seeking solace from the chaos of her celebrity life. After a chance encounter where West rescues Skylar from a bear, she ends up staying in his bunkhouse while working on her new album at Wild Rose Records. The forced proximity between West and Skylar sets the stage for a compelling friends-to-lovers romance. Their banter is delightful, filled with wit and genuine connection. Skylar's journey of self-discovery and reclaiming control over her life is both inspiring and relatable. West's unwavering support and the tender moments he shares with his children add depth to his character, making him utterly swoon-worthy.And the spice? Elsie Silver masterfully balances steamy scenes with emotional intimacy, creating a romance that feels both passionate and heartfelt. If you're a fan of small-town romances with well-developed characters and a captivating storyline, Wild Eyes is a must-read. Elsie Silver continues to deliver stories that resonate and characters that stay with you long after the last page.

elsie silver killed it again!
4/5⭐️3/5🌶️elsie silver’s books are always so darn good and i always feel so good when i read them. wild eyes was no exception! the only reason im not giving this a 5/5 is because i felt like i just wanted something a little more from the story. i’m not sure exactly what it was missing but i just felt like it needed just a little something else.i loved weston belmont! he was such a sweetheart and such a good dad. i loved how calm and patient he was with emmy and oliver and with sky. he was so attentive to their needs, so ridiculously funny, and had such a mouth on him🥵skylar honestly annoyed me a bit at the beginning but she grew on me at the end. she was a really strong character and i loved how rose hill brought out the best in her. i loved her relationship with weston, especially their banter and their nicknames for each otheremmy and oliver were the sweetest little kiddos 🥹 i loved their relationship with each other and their relationship with skylar.single dad romances are just so fun! i cannot wait for wild side💚“Breathing is overrated. I’d rather be drowning in you”

A new Elsie fave!!
Well, I might just have a new favorite Elsie Silver book!! I absolutely ATE this one up (and have already done a reread of it because it was that good). Wild Eyes is not only a top tier Elsie book, but it’s also easily one of my top ten books of the year! So far, Wild Eyes is my favorite of the Rose Hill series (and I really did enjoy Wild Love, so that’s saying something). It has everything I love about Elsie’s books - the relatable inner monologues, the banter, the dual POV, the chemistry and the spice (my god, the spice 🥵). The plot and pacing were also really good - I ended up staying up way too late to finish it. I really, really loved Skylar as a character - she was complex, interesting and most importantly, relatable. She had a lot of chaos in her life from page one a large part of her story was around conquering this and deciding what kind of life she wanted to live. Enter Weston, secret fanboy extraordinaire. From the jump he was supportive of Skylar (if a touch overbearing, in an endearing way), and was so perfect for her. They were the type of couple that even when they were just friends, I was rooting for them to be more. They worked really well together - their banter was top tier, their support of each other was lovely, and their chemistry was INSANE (don’t get me started on the spice). Also, I loved the family dynamic between Skylar and Weston’s family was so friggin cute. Elsie Silver is keeping the romance girlies fed with this one - it’s got great banter, unreal steam and plenty of heart warming moments. I didn’t think anyone would dethrone Cade as my fave single father romance hero, but then Weston came onto the scene. I can’t wait for more Rose Hill in Wild Side!!

Great Love and Finding Yourself Story
I enjoyed the banter and relationship Skylar had with West's kids. I wouldn't mind living in that town. It seems fun and like it is full of good people.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Um, Weston Belmont is amazing. We met him in Wild Love, and he seemed like a bit of a loose cannon. However, his character development in Wild Eyes is swoon worthy. He is kind, funny, thoughtful, protective, and honest to a fault. The opening scene with the bear had me falling for his charm and wit. The relationship that Silver creates between Wes and his kids is also a huge selling point. Sometimes kids can be annoying in books. (At times, I’ll admit that I found Emmy irritating.) But Ollie is the showstopper. His struggle with selective mutism became one of the most special elements in his relationship with Skylar.Speaking of Skylar, she was so easy to root for. I didn’t get the sense that she was feeling sorry for herself as a successful starlet. Instead, she had genuine and deep-rooted trust issues due to a toxic relationship with her parents. Her reluctance to get close to Wes didn’t get boring because she was trying so hard to work on herself. The surprise in the third act was predictable but gut-wrenching. I cannot understand the pressure that women in Hollywood feel to live up to the expectations of complete strangers, and Silver did a fantastic job conveying that pain and frustration.Like all Elsie Silver books, there is plenty of spice in this book. The kids having time at their mom’s house was a necessity to give readers time with just Wes and Skylar. And the bowling scenes were an excellent way to track our future main characters Rhys and Sebastian. I hope they both live up to Wes!
