The best mask you'll ever use. It won't disappoint
The Gill Mask is the best mask I have used. It's very comfortable & can be worn for extended periods without having to adjust it like with other masks. The seal is very soft which gives it a tight fit unlike every other masks I have used. I have peace of mind that Covid droplets won't compromise my safety & well being. I wear sunglasses by day, & yellow lens at night without any fogging problem what so ever. It's a very good looking mask & have had several strangers ask what I thought about it & where they can get one. Several reviewers have said that it's hard to breathe. Compared to every cloth mask it is, but in my opinion, I know that it's because of the tight seal. The one con I have to say is the strap could be thicker, but I surmise it's like that because the rubber śeal makes it secure enough that I don't have to tighten it very much to make it stay in place. The make your own filter from disposable masks makes the Gill Mask the most economical mask on the market today. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed. Plus you get a coupon for a free pack of FP95 filters as a token of appreciation. Don't wait a minute longer.

The BEST in its class so far
I've been wearing masks even before COVID-19. When I travel especially in Asian countries. I had a lot of experience with masks. From Israeli gas masks to a simple disposable dust mask. This Gill mask is very well designed (based from my opinion of course). I like the silicon that goes around your face. Very comfortable. Thank the designer it's not rubber. I also like the concept of using surgical masks or MERV 16 filter material and not have to buy a separate filter. Imagine you can use 1 blue surgical mask 8 times using this mask for everyday use. And over all the price is right and affordable. Also it is dishwasher safe and can be boiled (read instruction). Attention to the manufacturer: My concerns will be the silicon weight, the elastic strap and plastic material used on the cartridge. My suggestions are they should have used a thicker but lighter strap. I feel that the mask is so heavy for the strap to support it. You really have to tighten it and not sure how long the thin strap will last. The designer should have used a light silicon material if there is such a thing. Also a light plastic material for the front part. The cartridge should have been a light stainless steel. I'm quite concerned about the seal. BUT all in all compare this Gill mask to other masks. This is the one to beat. I highly recommend this for non-frontliners. And for the frontliners, use caution ... maybe using a face shield for extra protection and making sure you use at least MERV 16 filters and tighten the strap well or put diaper rash cream around the silicon to seal more and protect your skin. I don't mind paying extra for the GEN2 as long as it keeps us all safe. I hope this review helps.

Like having a plunger stuck to your face
Bought this respirator because I work in a crowded environment with the public and Covid is still a thing. Adjusting the mask to fit is no problem, installing filters is easy. The material that the mask is made from is soft and doesn't irritate the skin on my face. These are the reasons that this mask gets 3 stars instead of a one star review from me. The negatives about this mask are: When properly sealed there is noticeable sucking in and stretching out of the mask when breathing, the suction pulls at the skin that it is against so it feels like your face from chin to nose bridge is being plunged. The mask gets wet quickly from the condensation of my breath, so wearing it all day I feel beaded up droplets if moisture against my face while wearing it. Since the mask does its job in filtering the breath I exhale the heat from my breath is contained in the mask long enough to give me the feeling of suffocation. The straps used to hold the mask in place get uncomfortable on my ears after an hour or two of use.Overall I would have to say if you don't need to wear this for very long and are going to be in a crowded area it's a good choice, but for a shift at work or spending a long time in a waiting area or anything that requires long term wear I would recommend you pass on this one and try a different mask unless you like it being hard to breathe while the mask sucks in and out and like having a damp face.

Feels good, yes it's a mask, but I feel safe.
I should have gotten the junior version (NOPE, see edit) right off their site because I'm on the very bottom of the "regular" measurement... that said...It's comfortable (for a mask) and I feel more protected using this then of my cloth masks in a huge collection (some of which is home made so let that speak for itself). IMPORTANT: Use 3 ply surgical mask filter is best. I tried 2.5 ppm 5ply carbon filter but it was too hard to breath in. Not suggested for gym/higher heart rate physical activity but good for the trip into the store or bank or other necessary business. I like the silicone and decided to just get the regular one here... but admit I maybe should have gotten the smaller size because frankly I have a small face and I can feel tiny whisps of air up my eyes when I exhale... I'm tiny, heart shaped face with a long thin nose so ot also feels like the end of my nose touches the front plate. Not complaining, like I said I feel like I trust the seal once I've got it tight and right. I honestly can't wait to paint it and I might get the junior size from their site. I'm on the very bottom end of the regular sizing values per their chart.(Edit: if you have adult sized nose but a smaller face, getting the junior/small is NOT going to work unless you have a short-to-your-face-nose. Heart shaped face with longer nose... stick w/regular. Regular still doesn't seal well/stay sealed well on my nose and I feel air hitting my eyes from behind my glasses.

Soft, comfortable and breatheable
I bought this mask for my husband and myself thinking that silicone was a good idea for a washable, comfy mask and it is reasonably priced considering that you only need to change the filters (I cut up a surgical mask into 6 pcs to use as filters, unlike paper masks that are single use only). I am so glad that as imagined it’s light weight and soft, and at the same time roomy and breatheable (not like other masks that feels restrictive and strangling). My husband travels a lot, and sees himself using this comfortably on flights (esp on long hauls). I am going to get a set for my elderly parents. This might fit a 12 year old (as I have a fairly small face) but I wish had a smaller size so that I can order one for my daughter also.

Comfortable only in cold places and very expensive
Looks and feels comfortable. However, it is not a very good fit in my low nose bridge. For those with high nose bridge, the fit is much better. Breathing in this mask is tough compared to surgical mask as the breathing area is now 1/6 of surgical mask.Test it on an outing to shopping mall on bus for about 2h. Sweating where the mask contacts the face. As there is nothing to absorb the sweat, I have to keep drying my sweat with tissue paper which means I have to keep sanitising my hand to do it. It also has a tendency to slide lower due to sweating, which means having to keep touching the mask to readjust it.I think I'll reserve it for cold places or short outings.Update:31 AugSaw it being sold at under $10 at a reputable shop. To date, only use less than 10 times. Not worth the price tag.

Thrown away
I love the concept but ultimately this thing is very hard to breath in practice , also I live in humid Singapore , the sweat buildup around the silicon seals make this mask a wet and smell affair

Comfortable and sustainable protection
While this mask is more bulky than a fabric mask, it's more protective than a fabric mask. It's great for situations where you need, or want, more protection. The mask is comfortable too, including the soft adjustable strap. Good for when you need to wear a mask for long periods of time. I also like that it reduces waste: one disposable mask can be cut to make multiple filters for use in this mask, and the mask itself can be boiled to clean (but I haven't tried that yet!) I'll definitely be wearing it on the next flight I can take too!

Innovative and effective design
Mask is well made and lightweight despite the bulk. Compared to manufacturers that forces you to use specific filters which can be expensive, this will definitely help with your pocket and mask supply. It is indeed difficult to breathe with a proper surgical mask material inserted but it only means that it is effective and well sealed. One will be thankful that they have this, should mask supply be an issue again. The battle with Covid will be a long one, and this is investment well worth.Good job guys but perhaps a slim down design in the future will be great.
