It's everywhere, and it's telling entire generations of people how to travel the world.' Fairfax Media (Australia) Review: This is a must for travel! - This was a really great guide. This book provides lots of information about Madagascar and what I could expect traveling there. Well worth the price! Review: Garbage - In Madagascar right now and unfortunately brought this book. My wife and I have a shelf full of the old blue LP guides for various places around the world - we always bought one when we were starting to plan a trip and then carried them with us as they were indispensable. The new guides by the revised owners of LP suck - look elsewhere.

Lonely Planet has Gone Down Hill
Unfortunately, the new format of the books is bad. They're a lot shorter, don't provide enough reviews on lodgings, and restaurants. I liked the old format. I wish they would go back!

Really insufficient
Got it from the library to review before purchasing. Good thing I did - no idea what's happened to LP, but this book is really third rate at best.

Aktuell und handlich
Noch gar nicht, die Reise steht noch bevor - aber schon viel darin gelesen und Orte ausgewählt, die ich besuchen möchte.

Save money, book direct at source
This is worth the money simply by finding out the recommended local tour operators. Organising our tour directly will save us about 30% compared to international prices. We will book direct now and use elements of the guide’s itineraries. Good quality photos and basic information with a ‘tool-kit’ approach.
