A fabulous step by step tutorial with so much variety that any taste would certainly be satisfied. A ton of auxiliary pages for creative projects! This is just so off the beaten path and outstanding. We are blown away. Both for kids/teens and adults. An incredible value for what you get. Just WOW!

I ordered this about a month ago and couldn't wait for it to arrive. It is the sweetest book for anyone who likes to doodle and try new media. Simple pointers and examples of techniques and JUST PLAIN FUN. I'm a long time doodler and love the simple layout, colorful examples and "goodies" included in the book. I use it for enjoyment in my quiet time, but also when I need a creative break from my graphic design business. It's a great way to get my hands-to-art, especially when needing a break from my computer! I LOVE this book. I hope you do too!

Looks great! Unfortunately Amazon did a little rough handling and the edge of book, top right, is damaged. I’ll still review the book a little more to see if I need to return this. Otherwise, except for the obvious damage (and what I may find later) the book is loaded with projects!

This book is just so beautiful. And there are so many extras included, such as colored paper, textured paper, paper dolls, post cards, and more. When purchasing I was surprised to see all 5 star reviews and that made me question if they were legit reviews. After receiving the book, I TOTALLY understand why every review is 5 stars. This is just a lovely, beautifully done book. There’s so much inspiration to be found here. I’ve included a photo of my doodles from the first exercise. Cute and fun. I should also note that I am an experienced artist and have taken drawing classes, but I’m always looking for inspiration and I just love new books, which is why I purchased. This book would be great for beginners, but I love it for where I’m at in my artistic journey as well. It’s a book for anyone! The only negative was that one of the included items, a little notepad, was slightly bent because it slipped out of the bottom of the book. Not sure who’s fault that would be, but it really wasn’t a big deal to me.

This is THE coolest book ever. Helpful instructions for drawing with general instructions and pictures. But the inserts are just so neat!! Can be used for journaling as well.

I’ve noticed a repetitive theme in most of the books of this kind. They insert much of their own art, combine that with lists. Lists of all sorts: what you need, don’t need, etc. THIS one is completely different. The pictures I’ve included are just an example of the ways they incorporate their artwork with inspiration, provoking words to get you going. The third pic shows what I was doing whilst waiting for my g-daughter to finish her ballet class as I brought the book and a pencil with me. PURCHASE, RELAX, CREATE! If you’re an artist self-taught or schooled, a working person or working homemaker, I recommend this beautifully, supportive, I intelligent supporting, “friend.” It’ll help you climb one limb at a time, out of that self-made rut.

Um livro super didatico, facil de entender mesmo em inglês, comprei para a minha filha de 14 anos e ela aprendeu muitas coisas com ele. Vários desenhos, ensinamentos. Muito bom!

If you are artsy, or want to be artsy and are eager to learn how to draw graphic images, don’t hesitate. I say “graphic” images because this isn’t a book on realism in the fussy way of so many "learn to draw" books, such as those teaching you to draw portraits or landscapes. The images are line drawings using different media. They are real world, but fun and playful, not nitpicky. I can say, without reservation, this is the BEST creativity, artsy, how-to book I have ever seen. I can’t remember ever having as much fun with an art book as I am having. Each page turn leads me to another fun challenge. The book has pages enough to practice everything they show you. In fact, in the watercolour section they even has watercolour paper. The pages are all made of a nice paper too. NOT the super cheap paper usually found in how-to artsy fartsy books. There are even a couple pages of good quality, durable, tracing paper! The treasures (because they ARE treasures!) they provide are an absolute blast. There are even PAPER DOLLS to draw on - I’m 55 years old and these paper dolls have me giggling and wanting to make more. The house to draw in is a hoot. There are instructions on how to draw different things you might find in a house, plants, side table, desk, etc. Plain postcards to draw on - why on earth did I never think of making my own postcards before?! Even the dust over unfolds into a huge, funky poster I think I'll try ironing it to get out the folds or maybe I'll cut out the inspirational sayings to jazz up another creation... The ONLY flaw is that the removable adhesive they use left stains on three of the dolls. I don't know if it will affect drawing on them, but even if it does - no big deal. I'll glue something to cover them. This book makes it out here to be content in a life where I can't afford Flow Magazine. SOMEDAY! If the authors or publishers ever see this comment: PLEASE MAKE MORE BOOKS LIKE THIS! Was für eine Fundgrube an kreativen Tätigkeiten. Ab und zu kaufe ich mir ja mal ein Flow-Magazin. Das hier ist in seiner Fülle an Anstößen jedoch nicht zu übertreffen. Auf jeder Seite gibt es hier etwas tolles zu tun. Gut um es in den Park oder ein Café mitzunehmen - oder einfach für eine kreative Stunde zuhause.
