Years ago, I found a set of nail clippers in a store in France that was completely different than the traditional nail clippers that I had used all my life. They were beautifully constructed and seemed to be of very high-quality materials with a great finish and sharpness and made clean and smooth cuts.These clippers are the same exact design as those French ones that I have had for a few years. I like the design, because not only is the whole thing very compact, but also in its closed position the sharp edges of the cutters are fully closed, and no sharp edges are exposed. This makes it possible to have these in your small pant pocket or on a keychain without the risk of getting cut when you reach for them. Another important design factor (for me at least) is that unlike other wide-jaw nail clippers there is no spring in the jaw to open the two sides. The springs in clippers that have them invariably suffer metal fatigue over time and eventually snap.These are also a whole lot less expensive than the French ones that I own but only with a seemingly marginal lower quality. The fit and finish on the French ones is definitely better, but these are of perfectly acceptable quality.I think that you will like these clippers.

I’ve been looking for a pair of keychain edc nail trimmers for quite a while now. I decided to give the Mr. Green set a try, and I must say they are worth every penny! They came in a nice package and arrived in a timely manner.The nail trimmers themselves are on the smaller side and you may not be able to get your nails trimmed in one pinch, but they are sharp and cut at a nice angle. For reference I wear size XL gloves and was able to trim most fingers in about two pinches of the trimmers. When not using they fold up small and mostly discrete. I have had people ask me what was on my keychain since they couldn’t tell what they were. When unfolded there is an emry board and a nail picker to remove dirt under your finger nails.So far the product has been great and I have no issues. Thanks Mr. Green!

I bought this to replace a set of Victorinox clippers that looked very much the same and were my favorite for their flat profile when closed. I often carry a pair in my back pocket to mis-use to clip zip ties, remove screws, scrape things, and even sometimes manage a finger nail. The Mr. Green was just as effective as the Victorinox, with an even better file. Use the keychain, though, or you'll be buying another one after two trips like I am. Perhaps they will meet up with all of the others I've lost and start a community.Seriously, though: I used these for all of those things and they worked great until I left them in an Arizona or Utah hotel somewhere along the line. They are very high quality and don't seem to bother me when in my back pocket.

Well made, nice opening size, high quality. Missing 1 star because the keying hole position makes my keys weigh down the file cover making it difficult to use the clippers. The keyring hole needs to come off the base, not the cover. Other than that I love 'em.

Compact and very easy to store and use. Very convenient and innovative design

It has a good feel to it. Doesn’t feel cheap, It’s super sharp and doesn’t leave those annoying burrs but if you should have one has a very nice file built in.

Great clippers. This style seems to be the best for my needs. The file works well and the clippers re sharp and long lasting.

As other reviewers have pointed out, these are awkward to use when compared to the traditional drug store varieties.As much as I want to love this product, there are too many flaws. I got this because it seems like the famous competitor brand stopped making the all metal version of theirs - it has a bulky red plastic handle now.Pros:- It's real stainless steel. Too many products claim to be stainless from random brands but immediately rust.- It's compact, sleek and slim. They look and feel great.- The key chain bit is removable.- They cut very well.- The filer isn't very course.Cons:- Awkward to use. The flap and key chain bits get in your way. At first I thought I was holding it wrong, but the same is true whether its upside down or not. The clipper bit is also just a tad short for a comfortable grip.- The key chain bit is removable, but the file just kind of flaps around and gets in your way while you're using the lever.- The blade is a bit too straight. At first I thought that might be superior, but I've found it's far too easy to cut your nails short as you are trying to follow the natural curve of your nail. You end up spending a lot of time narrowing it down so there's no odd angles. A curved design only takes about 3 clips.- The nail cleaner is too thick and smooth. It needs a sharper or more pointy edge like the cheap drug store variety has. In fact, it's hard to find any 3rd party nail filer or cleaner that is like that, at least a genuine stainless steel one.- The nail filer is too fine. It's find enough to ground your nail edge into powder pretty quickly, and often leaves a glossy polish.

Great, sharp, very convenient. A pleasure to use.
