so these are what they say- a sock. No grip and there are people who don't want/need the grip. If you dance on one of the dance surfaces that has a little rubbery friction built in, where everyone is wearing socks to dance (contemporary, latin, etc), then these allow your heels to be out. Whats special is that the sock part has just enough elastic that they stay on better than a normal half sock or even regular sock, but they also have the double strap ( I wear both around my heel, actually). I do not have to adjust these, and can tape my feet with KT under and they still stay there and don't rub the tape off. I love them and and am so happy I found them. They don't rub on my feet, I've used them several times a week for months and they look fine. can be thrown into washing machine. I felt like they were too expensive for what they were, but honestly, I can't find anything for less that does even close. depending on your skin tone, these can be almost no show, esp on stage- not sure if they could be dyed or not. Update: Still love these and now everyone at my studio buying! Almost invisible, looks like your bare foot from stage- shows your arches from the top of your toes all they way through. We even use for ballet sometimes because they are more comfortable and move better on Marley (sp?) flooring. They last me forever, the biggest problem is that they get dirty After a while, to the point where the washing machine doesn't do the job anymore. Update update: Still in love with these! actually I was hoping that the manufacturer would carry these in black at some point, if they are reading reviews! Black and maybe some other 'skin' colors would be nice? Please make in black :)

My daughter wears a sz1.5 and xs is perfect for her. The bottom strap is still too long and falls off her foot so she just has to wear it a certain way so it stays put. We also have a sz small and the straps are still too long. I think the xs will fit till her foot is sz 2.5 but we will replace them before then. The socks get linty but that's too be expected. They will last only as long as how many hours you use them in a week. My daughter does RG 4-6hrs a week and the socks got linty the first use and has not gotten any worse (It's been about couple months). I think they should be good till September before I would consider replacing them. I hand wash them and dry flat.

I love these and they are perfect for contemporary and modern class. They are very lightweight and they don’t cause any irritation with the straps. The price is even better!

Great for contemporary pole dancing. High quality the straps haven’t broken and the cloth is strong and doesn’t move so it doesn’t irritate the bottom of my foot when I dance. Perfect amount of slip and grip
