SABRENT 7-Port USB-C Hub, 48W Powered, 5Gbps, 3 USB-A + 4 USB-C (HB-3A4C)

I’ve had one other Sabrent product from years ago (a USB sound card) and it worked, that’s really all I could say about it. Everything about it felt very cheap (it was) and it left me feeling satisfied, but not impressed. This product really turned me around on the brand as a whole, this feels like a very high quality piece of kit. All of the materials feel great to the touch, the ports are sturdy, the power switches have a great tactile feel without being loud and clicky, everything was plug-and-play. Tested on an Apple Silicon MacBook, provided proper speeds as advertised for an external drive. The charging port is a nice touch, super easy to charge my phone when I’m at my desk. I can’t believe this is as cheap as it is (snagged for about $45) for the build quality and features - and time for my favorite QOL feature: the LEDs. Most other hubs also offer LEDs, but basically ALL other hubs that have LED indicators are an EYE PIERCINGLY BRIGHT blue. My machine is in the same room I sleep and need to run tasks overnight with my drive attached. Other hubs in the past have literally kept me up at night to the point I bought a sleep mask. These LEDs are essentially the perfect brightness and diffusion. They’re so subtle but still work in the daylight. 10/10. Photo taken in essentially complete darkness. They are DIM and it is AWESOME.

The powered USB hub was exactly what I needed for an old external 1TB hard drive. I have a USB hub that is not powered and the external drive wouldn't appear on the list of connected drives to my desktop PC. I like the individual on/off switch for each of the 7 ports. It also works well with an external DVD drive.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I have only been using it for a week but it has performed perfectly.

Terrible product. The first time I purchased, the device stopped transferring data within 2 weeks. I exchanged the item giving Sabrent the benefit of the doubt in that I received a damaged item. The replacement came and a little more than a year later, it now will not transfer midi data from my keyboards. I've had no issues nor configuration changes in my system setup. I was looking for something reliable to use in my production studio and this is not it. Wish I would have spent twice as much money on something that would have stood the test of time.

Nothing to complain about. Works as advertised. The individual on/off buttons seem like a good idea but I can’t conceive of a need for them with my devices. I just wish that Nikola Tesla had discovered the means of wireless transmission of energy so that we could get rid of all of our wires.

This is a very handy accessory, especially during this industry transition from USB – AA to USB – C. It provide provides a lot of flexibility for handling those different ports. in my case, it is adding a lot of port flexibility to a new Apple Mac mini.

Solid product. Have had I problem plugging in a card reader and being recognized but it was going through 2-different connections?? That's been the only problem otherwise all ports are running optimally.

Great way to inject usb pd into a usb c cable for wired VR and also add some more accessible usb usb ports.

Love it. Manual switches. Plug and play and control what gets power. The only gripe I have is the relatively short cable to connect the hub to my pc, which is the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of five.

Excellent bit of kit. Bought as a hub to connect 3x cameras and 4x mics for video recording in-person gameplay. Small, solid, and the powered element makes sure none of the kit runs out of juice (5 hour sessions sometimes). Most cheaper versions of this don't power anything and you're at the mercy of battery life. This takes care of that problem.
