It really adds a nice ambiance to the back area, and has now created another lovely backyard living space that we enjoy. Only thing I wished it had provided: There was no way to hang swag curtains, so I bought white metal poles (Home Depot) and placed them along the sides, so I could drape white flowing bishop sleeve style fabrics- really enhanced the pergola's elegant look. Love the retractable top but unfortunately you do need to pull it back when it rains, so that water won't collect on top of fabric and risk weighting it down if heavy rain, and thus, the furniture that sits underneath is not protected from the rain. Can't have both! But I love it!

Hayden was scratched and damaged when it was received. There was a the same part which the company did ship out straight away. However, the clips that hold the rolling canopy top do not hold the pergola does not stay closed. Mentioned it and previous message never got a reply back from the company. It was too much of a hassle to take it apart and then card it back to The UPS store or wherever it recommended it being returned. I’ve read nothing but great reviews about this company and their products. Well, I don’t doubt that there are some good ones. This one is not the case.
