Nice, classy strainer..
I finally broke with tradition and threw away my old dog-eared tea strainer that had seen better days ten years ago. Boy am I happy I did.!!! This stainless steel "Endurance Conical" 4" strainer is the cat's whiskers...(so to speak..!). It is beautifully finished and perfectly formed. It is just about the perfect size to fit into a large mug for steeping tea leaves or for straining spices from small amounts of liquids after soaking or steeping. The handle is apparently spot welded to the rim, as are the "ears" on the opposite side. They all appear to be well fastened and quite strong. The edges of the strainer basket are all nicely roll-formed with no sharp spots. The basket strainer itself appears to be a double mesh and is quite fine. I gently moved my hands carefully across the entire basket portion both inside and out. No imperfections could be felt or seen. There were no little straggler pieces of wire left hanging out to snag your fingers, and the basket seemed perfectly formed and balanced. I truly have no idea how long this strainer will last in use, but for the price paid it is a great buy. Perfect form. Great function. Five stars for a product that seems to be almost perfect. Don't know how it could be improved....really. Try this one out. I think you will appreciate it for it's function and ease of cleaning.

RSVP PRODUCTS ARE AN INVESTMENT NOT A COST
PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO INVEST IN THESE RSVP STRAINERS! I've been buying these RSVP strainers (Amazon and products from other stores) for almost two decades. They are all still in use; the manufacture is well done. In my (so far) 18 years of use, they have not rusted or weakened in any way. The integrity is still solid (which is why I have collected several more for simultaneous uses). I do get some discoloration, depending on the different herbs or teas I brew, but since it doesn't impact or affect the flavor, and I use them so frequently (every day), I don't pay much attention. However for those who may not use theirs as frequently and want to remove the stains, I have cleaned them by soaking. Submerged in a heavy baking soda and water solution overnight, or until a soft brush (like a brush we use to clean our fingernails), scrubbed over the mesh is able to remove the stain. If all else fails just reach out to the manufacturer (not the seller) for tips and assistance. I use my strainers so much I'm not disturbed by the loss of the 'new shine' either; these are after all functional and utilitarian items, as long as they are able to be cleaned and sanitized, I'm happy. I've seen a few comments about sediment/debris. With regard to brewing loose teas and herbs, it's natural to have some sediment pass through the mesh, none of it will harm you. But for the palate or other reasons sometimes no debris is important (wanting to enjoy a smooth quick cup of pour over coffee, ground root or seed herbs (like chicory, burdock, milk thistle, etc)). I recommend using an organic paper coffee filter, or an organic muslin or other tightly woven organic cloth bag, placed inside the strainer. These filters can also endure a long(er) steep when needed. My only complaint with my little strainers is that while I so appreciate the triangle tip that allows the strainer to be balanced on the opposite side of a mug or pot, I wish very much that the tip were a tad bit longer and curved enough to grip the edge in order to keep the strainer from slipping into the bowl and spilling the contents. I do recognize that the way in which I use the end tip is not the original or intended use. But for my purposes and the way I need to use them, this has been a very grateful design. Admittedly I am a disabled senior and my coordination isn't as fine as it once was, but it would be nice to not have to futz with the balancing act. (Tip for other users that may have this kind of experience, I found that using a solid disc of silicone (like the little floppy flexible red Norpro silicone discs that assist in opening jars), will fit over a small pot or a large mug. Draped over the strainer while my herbs are brewing it can help keep the strainer in place as well as keep most of the heat inside during the steeping time; sometimes my herbs, teas or decoctions just need to steep overnight or longer. It not only helps keep dust or other particulate matter out during the steep, it aids to preserve against the loss of beneficial extracts condensation. It's not foolproof, but it helps me enough.) Warm Regards To All!

I like this strainer. Perfect for berries and dishwasher safe
Well made and sturdy. I use it primarily to rinse berries every morning. Washes easily in the dishwasher. It was expensive, but I think it was worth the money.

Strain coffee (w/paper filter!) & rinse quinoa
Sturdy, well made - a classic - and I'll likely order a larger size for further, more-typical cooking uses. It is 11.9 cm (4 5/8 ") outermost diameter, and 8.8 cm (3 3/8 ") deep. I'm very happy with this strainer; solved a couple of specific cooking probs for us. Holds the inexpensive paper coffee filter, paper being the healthiest way to filter coffee, < ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2029499 > on the 5 1/8 inch top of my ~64-oz (10 cup) Chemex carafe. The hanging-loop of the strainer makes up the dif in diameter. Rinses quinoa without losing any at all through the mesh, as did the typical small round metal-mesh strainer with a handle that you find in every kitchen dept of every large store.Do rinse quinoa to get the soapy taste off of it (that's a normal aspect of the plant); this is better than any method I've improvised while trying to use the "typical" dept store strainer. So just get this one! We leave it in a rush on most mornings, wet filter and coffee grounds still in there (bought end of March 2014) and not a single spot of any harm or rust. It is as described, for sure. (btw:UN-leakable/very hot/cold Thermos? we have two, after trying many other brands/models: Thermos Element 5 16-Ounce Travel Mug.Wipe dry after closing it; we carry it in handbag, backpack, brief case) (The tsa agent liked it so much she *gave it back* after scurrying away to dump the coffee after I foolishly carried it all the way to the screening process, in 2011 *~* ) Fast delivery, well-packaged,the best price I could find for this quality.

Well made! Fine mesh
This is tiny but that is what i wanted- perfect for tea, coffee grounds and because it is so fine I even use it for a second straining of chicken soup-- it is small but it works fine since the soup goes through quickly as there is very little to strain out on the second straining. Easy to hang up by either end and still looks new after 3 months of almost daily use. It is fine enough for quinoa but is too small for that. It is a full 4 inches across the top and some might think it too large for a tea strainer but it works great for us.

Arrived quite bent.
This little sieve is perfect for what I wanted. So the 3 stars applies more to the problem with the packaging or lack thereof. It arrived quite bent out of shape. I bent it back well enough to use and don't want to bother sending back, but for future deliveries, a bit of bubble wrap would be helpful.
