SHOWA 282-02 Temres Thermal Waterproof Work Gloves

Brilliant for ice and winter climbing. Grippy yet warm. You want them to be just a little bigger to trap more air. Super waterproof and warm. Also deals with ropes running through very well, So durable.

Great pair of gloves that keep my hands warm and dry and worth the price.

They’re warm, waterproof and don’t make my hands sweat. I won’t bother with any other gardening or work gloves now that I’ve found these.

I use these for hillwalking and mountaineering. They are a bit warmer than the blue standard showa 282's. Very good for UK wet cold conditions, but beware that the sizing is very small by UK standards and i disagree with the sizing chart on amazon. I am an average adult male and a size XXL is good on me, anything smaller would be too tight.

However, I had to return my size M as they were far too small . Consider sizing up one or maybe two sizes.

First time ever I've only used 1 pair of gloves whilst winter climbing, hands dry and warm all day, I did use them with a thin liner glove . Absolutely fantastic

These gloves are fantastic for working in cold, wet conditions. Keeps my hands warm right down to -20C, and the rubber coating stays supple and waterproof. I bought another three pair and gifted them to friends and family because I was so please with them...

excellent to keep your hands dry, especially when being active outdoors (think skiing etc). I would go a size up (or even 2) from your normal size gloves as they feel smaller than the size would indicate. We bought an XL and M, but had to buy L as the M was too small (for a 164cm female with normally a size S-M).

Nachdem ich bereits die blauen Showa Temres 282 Handschuhe beim Eisklettern im Einsatz hatte (die schwarzen 02 waren damals nicht verfügbar), war für mich schnell klar: Ich will die Version mit der verlängerten Manschette. Gerade bei Schnee, Eis und ständigem Kontakt mit dem Schmelzwasser im Wassereis ist der zusätzliche Schutz am Handgelenk kein Luxus, sondern einfach nur perfekt. Einsatzbereich: Eisklettern, Mixed-Klettern Pro: - Absolut wasserdicht – auch bei dauerhaftem Kontakt mit Eis und Schnee bleiben die Hände trocken - Angenehm warm für aktive Belastung (kein Standhandschuh!) - Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis – vergleichbare Performance kostet bei etablierten Bergsportmarken oft ein Vielfaches - Verlängerte Manschette hält Schnee zuverlässig draußen und reduziert Wärmeverlust Con: - Begrenzte Haltbarkeit bei Seilkontakt – insbesondere beim Sichern merkt man schnell Verschleiß --> zum Sichern daher besser ein anderes, robusteres Paar Handschuhe dabei haben, welches man unter der Jacke aufbewahrt und dass dann auch immer schön vorgewärmt ist :) - Kein Allround-Handschuh – eher ein spezialisierter Kletterhandschuh als ein robuster Begleiter für alle Tätigkeiten - Bei Amazon im Vergleich recht teuer; besser irgendwo anders im Internet bestellen, dann allerdings meist mit längerer Lieferzeit Mein Fazit: Für den Preis sind die Showa 282-02 fast schon ein No-Brainer im Eisklettern. Sie liefern genau das, was man in der Bewegung braucht: trockene, ausreichend warme Hände bei maximaler Funktion. Wer sie clever einsetzt (z. B. zweites, wärmeres Paar fürs Sichern dabei hat), bekommt hier ein perfektes und vor allem günstiges paar Handschuhe . Ich würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen – aber eben bewusst als Teil eines Systems, nicht als einzigen Handschuh zum Eisklettern.
