I had a photocell go out in an outdoor light fixture, so rather than replace the photocell I decided to try this bulb with a built-in photocell. Works great. I recognize from other reviews that it could be an issue to get the sensor on the bulb to line up correctly with the outside area. Mine happened to line up well. Very happy with this purchase.

I purchased these primarily because I am away from home a lot, and I always have to ask my pet sitters to turn outside lights on and off. I've had bulbs burn out quickly, which tells me the sitters might forget to turn the lights off from time to time. That also poses a fire hazard.These dusk to dawn lights are fantastic! I started using them a few days before I was to leave my home for a week, and I was able to go on my trip confident that my front porch and side entrance to the house were lit at dusk and that the lights turned off automatically at dawn.I was a little thrown by the yellow glow. I guess I didn't read the product description well, but after just one night, I really didn't mind it at all. It is soft and not annoying to neighbors (I don't think).I'll add that I live in a neighborhood with somewhat cookie cutter homes. When driving home at night, having these yellow bulbs burning helps me identify my house immediately.I don't recall if the description said anything about the bulbs deterring bugs (might have been another product I was looking at) - but this certainly does not - which is fine by me. The spiders at my front door eat the other insects. As long as they don't drop on my head - I'm good. : )I was unable to rate these bulbs on efficiency and longevity as I've only had them a little over a month.I highly recommend these dawn to dusk light bulbs.

These Bioluz dusk-to-dawn light bulbs work very well. I first tried three Feit dusk-to-dawn bulbs that I found available at Menards. I had never seen dusk-to-dawn bulbs before, ever, so I was excited to find a new useful product. I have used Feit LED bulbs in the past, and they are very good. But, the Feit dusk-to-dawn bulbs are a dudd. The Feit bulbs did not consistently turn on at dusk, and they rarely turned off at dawn. I returned them.So, I looked on Amazon, and found that there are several brands of dusk-to-dawn bulbs -- which surprised me. The Feit bulbs get poor reviews on Amazon, and this is consistent with my findings. The Bioluz bulbs have few reviews, but they look identical to the Sunco dusk-to-dawn bulbs, which have many good reviews.Because the Bioluz bulbs were less expensive, and had good reviews (even though not many), I thought I'd give them a try. I am pleased to report that these bulbs do consistently turn on at dusk, and consistently turn off at dawn. They have a 3000 degree Kelvin color ( I prefer 2700, but I haven't found any dusk-to-dawn bulbs with that color of light, and it is not too important anyway for exterior porch lights.)Some observations:1) I have two bulbs in each fixture -- one bulb facing upward, the other facing downward. The dusk-to-dawn bulbs DO work in these fixtures.( I wasn't sure that they would work, but they do.)2) If you have a fixture with two (or more) bulbs next to/ adjacent to one another in the fixture, then these dusk-to-dawn bulbs WILL NOT work for you. When one of the bulbs comes on, its emitted light will "tell" the other bulbs in the fixture that it is "Daylight" outside -- so, don't bother turning on. You may get flickering, also.3) I have two of these two-bulb light fixtures -- one on either side of the garage double-door (about 20 ft apart). The light from the fixtures does not interfere with the working of the dusk-to-dawn bulbs in either fixture. So, that's good.4) The Feit bulbs actually have an interesting feature that may be unique to Feit: The bottom portion of the bulb that screws into the socket has the ability to swivel approximately 90 degrees. So, this means that when you screw the bulb tightly into the socket, you still can swivel the bulb back so that its sensor is facing the proper direction. Unfortunately, this does not help the Feit bulb work up to snuff. But, maybe they will re-engineer their sensor in the future.5) The Bioluz bulbs and others like it DO NOT have this swivel ability. Therefor, it may turn out that when you screw the bulb into the socket tightly, its sensor ends up facing the wall (and you don't want that). So, you must loosen the bulb to get its sensor to face the proper direction. If it is too loose, you lose the connection. So, you have to compromise on the direction of the sensor. But, even with this compromise, these bulbs do work well.6) With two fixtures on the same outside garage wall, and with each having two bulbs,there are a total of 4 bulbs facing the street. I notice that there may be individual differences among the bulbs. That is, they all will eventually turn on at dusk. But, they may not all turn on at the same time. Same with turning off (though I have not been up at dawn to witness them turning off.) Not a big deal, but just goes to show that not all bulbs' electronics will be identical in actual operation, even among bulbs of the same brand.7) I can't speak to the longevity of the bulbs, as I have had them installed only a few days so far.8) UPDATE 7/2019: One of the bulbs that was "facing down" stopped working. But, curiously, it works in the "face-up" direction. Apparently, the weight of the bulbs' electonics caused a slight separation/interruption of the circuit, which is "fixed" when placed in the "face-up" direction. (Thankyou, gravity.) Because the bulbs have a 3 yr warranty, I contacted the Seller and they promptly sent a replacement bulb. Very highly recommend/ excellent customer service.

I liked the fact simply because it works. When the built-in sensor to one of three exterior garage lights went out I tried on 3 different occasions using those screw in type sensors that will allow you to screw in the bulb on the one that no longer functioned. The only one that did work was one purchased form a hardware store a few years ago. I tried replacing it from major hardware stores and it didn't work. The ones that I ordered from two different Amazon vendors didn't work at all. I was a bit skeptical in purchasing these lights thinking that the reason it didn't work might have been some conflict going on between the built-in sensor which quit working and screw-in type sensor but thankfully, I was wrong. Now the question will be longevity. Lord willing, I'll get back to you should it quit within a year.

Our home had a dark exterior at night, because we did not want to spend money to keep the lights on all night, and then forget to turn them off in the morning. These work well, turning on and off when appropriate and use very little energy. One bulb failed after 4 weeks, which is a concern and we hope that this is not repeated.

C’est exactement ce que je voulais. Le bas prix me faisait douter de l’efficacité, mais cela fonctionne très bien. J’avais lu que les ampoules devaient être à au moins 2 pieds de distance pour fonctionner, mais j’ai pris une chance car mes ampoules sont placées dans mon lampadaire extérieur à un peu moins de 1 pied de distance les unes des autres. Très satisfaite de voir que cela n’a pas posé de problème.

No funcionaron automáticamente. Era necesario quitarlas y ponerlas cada vez para que funcionaran. Probamos los tres focos y fue lo mismo. Las tuvimos que regresar.

I purchased 36 of these LED bulbs - 13 failed right out of the box !!! Supposed to come on at dusk and go off at dawn. 13 bulbs did not even come on at anytime. Would not buy again.
