Works fine, lasts a long time. It does not have the smooth and notched belt style that the OEM does. However, it still works just fine. I don't expect it will last 5 years, but for the price and the age of the plotter, if I get 2 years out of it the plotter will be unusable by then anyway. NOTE: Installation is not for the feint of heart. lots of disassembly. I'm an ex-HP Tech so it wasn't too bad and I took some shortcuts, but if you've never done it, look for some you tube videos and KEEP TRACK OF YOUR SCREWS. You'll make a rookie mistake if you don't.

Not made exactly like original belt. Gear teeth on one side flat on other. Original has teeth only where the motor turns. Performance is much louder than original belt. Works perfectly well Good price..

The original belt shredded and needed replaced. This is not exactly the same as the belt that came with it, but it is a replacement belt and you simply use the pulley that came with it. The differences between this belt and the original one that came in our machine is just the groove designs on the belt and the pulley being different to compensate for the difference in grooves.

This is NOT an original HP manufactured belt. The original belt has lateral ridges along half the belt and long grooves running parallel along the other half. These ridges and grooves fit into the pulley wheels on the printer. The belt that they are selling here only has the ridges along the entire belt. There are NO grooves in the belt like there are in the belt that came with your printer and that you are trying to replace with this aftermarket copy. To compensate for the lack of grooves in the belt, they also give you a plastic pulley that you are supposed to use instead of the one that is in your machine now. Why would I spend over 2 hours replacing the belt and then another hour running the secret hidden diagnostic tests that you must do before HP will let your machine work again, only to find out that the belt doesn't work. Or worse yet, looks like it works but is actually causing the printer to be off just enough to print blurry images. Just so I can save $40??. No thank you! I'll order the OEM belt directly from HP and make sure I do it right the first time!

It has been four weeks since I installed this and it is working fine. Although this belt is slightly different than the OEM belt the included pulley ensures easy installation.
