Nature's Sunshine Thyroid Activator 100 Capsules

I’ve had a great experience with Nature’s Sunshine Thyroid Activator. It has been a wonderful addition to my wellness routine and has helped support my overall energy and well-being. I appreciate that it contains a blend of vitamins, minerals, and herbal ingredients designed to support healthy thyroid function. Since taking it, my hypothyroidism has been much better managed, and my thyroid labs have improved. My TSH and Free T4 levels are now within the normal range, which has been very encouraging for me. While everyone’s experience is different, this supplement has made a positive difference in my health, and I’ve been very happy with the quality of the product.

I'm in my early 30's and after having 4 children (3 of which in 3 years), my thyroid was getting very low. 6 months after my fourth baby was born, I noticed a ton of major problems I had been experiencing- constipation, significant hair loss, longer menstrual cycles (my cycle was 3 weeks off before it started again but changed to 5 weeks off), pudgy chin, and challenging to lose the baby weight no matter how hard I worked it off. I mentioned these major problems to the PA at my Dr.'s office and he said all of those signs point to a low thyroid. Upon testing my thyroid, it came back with the results the PA and I were expecting - that it was very low. I started taking these capsules as directed on the bottle immediately. SIDE NOTE: I had taken them briefly before but I was pregnant again shortly after. My homeopathy guy that suggested I take these for a low thyroid problem instructed me to discontinue use as it is harmful for an unborn child... I had a thyroid test again 2 months later and it has increased significantly from where it was. Now instead of getting my thyroid tested every 2 months, I can wait 6 months! Yay - as I hate needles. I don't have the constipation problems anymore, my menstrual cycle is closer to normal again, and the pudgy chin is virtually gone! Plus with exercise and a 1200 daily caloric intake I've lost 48 lbs in 4.5 months! I was working just as hard before at losing weight but didn't get but 1-2 lbs off a month if I was lucky! In another review, I read that for every year you have had the problem, you need to take these for 3 months. I have had this problem for 6 years so I am hoping that after 1.5 years I can quit taking these pills altogether as opposed to being on a thyroid medication for the rest of my life. I am also hoping that the rest of my thyroid problems - i.e. hair loss, will start to diminish as well.

I can tell that it's working, I can actually feel it in my body. My energy is improving, my mood is better and my eyebrows seem to be thicker.

UPDATE: The seller offered me a full refund, which I really appreciated. So, I'm updating to 4 stars because I still feel they must inform buyers before they purchase the item that the dosage is 6 capsules/day, but I do appreciate their integrity in reaching out and offering a refund. I bought these under the impression that they would be an affordable switch from my usual supplements, only to discover after they arrived that the recommended intake is 2 capsules 3 times a day, instead of the usual 2 capsules once a day. I can't find this listed anywhere on the product page OR in the images. Very frustrating and makes me think the seller is purposely deceiving people. Intake information should be evident before people purchase, so they understand how many days' supply they can expect from a product.

I have been using this product off and on for about 12 years. Reading the reviews on here I was surprised at the folks that said that it didn't work for them. One thing to remember is that this is an herbal product and herbals work at a much slower rate then pharmaceuticals. Herbals work with the body to get to a place of healing so that you are not dependent on them forever. Prescription drugs on the other hand and pharmaceuticals try to replace the body's natural healing response causing you to be dependent for life. To really know if an herbal is working for you, you need to give it several months. Also if you feel this is not strong enough you can add another supplement called 7 keto. Thyroid activator and 7 keto taken for 3 months are the power twins for under active thyroid. Also the general rule in herbals is that you take an herbal for at least 3 months for every year that you've had the problem. So if you have had low thyroid for two years than you need to take at least 6 months of corresponding herbs to get healthy again. Also not all herbal companies are the same. Do research before you buy. This particular company nature's sunshine Is one of the highest ranking on the market. Also talk to a master herbalist if you feel like your herbs are not working fast enough. Depending on the herbal combination, most can be doubled up on in the first week just to get it into your system faster. I hope this information helps!

I have been taking Thyroid Activator now for about 2 years. Ordering off Amazon for almost one year. I also take with this, Ashwagandha (Goli's gummies) 1 per day with my thyroid activator. It works great, I have no more symptoms of sluggishness or fatigue during the day. I have also had a full hysterectomy and it has helped tremendously. But I have also started taking something else more specific for my hormone replacement. If you are struggling with hypothyroidism, I would definitely recommend this product. I used to take Armour thyroid, and before that Synthroid.... they both were just horrible, but I dealt with it, because I wasn't that knowledgeable about natural supplements. As I researched, and asked ALOT of questions at sprouts, or natural grocers and just trolling the internet, and of course pissing off my primary doctor.... with all kinds of questions about natural supplements, that is when I decided I will not allow some doctor (they all are drug dealers for big pharma) to dictate what's good for my body. I am glad I made the decision to get off pharma, and move to taking natural supplements, with some choices in what I should / should not eat... (not too many foods) I find my life is better. I am glad I am no longer on prescription pills. This is coming from someone who is 56. (I take NO PRESCRIPTION PILLS) I will generally go to the doc, try to confirm my symptoms, if any.... get her to write me a prescription...then research and find the alternative. (The prescription is back up in case I could not find a natural supplement...well, and I have yet NOT to find a natural resource for whatever I need. So, thank you Nature's Sunshine, I really like Thyroid Activator as it works really well with ashwagandha.

This review is more about a side effect I experienced while taking this supplement more than the efficacy of the supplement. My friend has been taking this supplement as instructed for a year and has noticeably improved her thyroid symptoms, numbers, and overall thyroid health. I started taking it a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to improve my hypothyroid symptoms (frequent periods, cold hands and feet, fatigue, inability to shed excess weight, family history, etc.) Shortly after taking the supplement, I experienced one of the WORST headaches I've ever had. It wasn't a migraine, but it was as close to one as I have been in years. I figured it was probably a cold, but I had no other cold-like symptoms, and the headache has not fully gone away since then (though now it is just a dull ache). This is the only supplement that I have changed in the previous couple of weeks, so I looked into the ingredients. Come to find out, black walnut hull is very high in tannins, the same things in red wine that occasionally give people headaches when they drink it (such as my mother and I who both have hypo and experience headaches with tannins). I'm not 100% sure that this is the ingredient that is causing my headaches, but I know myself well enough to know that this is the most likely cause of the headaches since they didn't start until about 2 weeks ago and I haven't changed anything else in my diet, supplements, or lifestyle. If tannins do not cause you a problem, I encourage you to try this supplement if you are experiencing hypothyroidism symptoms, as my friend had great results. If you get headaches when you drink red wine or are reactive to any of the ingredients, try another thyroid supplement.
