At the turn of the 16th Century, King Manuel I commissioned Portugal's greatest artisans to construct grandiose buildings. After completing the Palaces of Evora and Sintra, the king sought to build a Summer Pavilion to honour the most famous members of the royal family. This construction was intended for the most talented artisans—whose skills meet the splendour that the royal family deserves. Sadly, King Manuel I died before construction ever began. In Azul: Summer Pavilion, players return to Portugal to accomplish the task that never began. As a master artisan, you must use the finest materials to create the Summer Pavilion while carefully avoiding wasting supplies. Only the best will rise to the challenge to honour the Portuguese royal family. The best of the Azul range? If you were to buy just one version, this would be a great choice.
Azul Summer Pavillion offers the simplicity of the original, so great for new players, but it also allows for players to develop strategies further and get a bit more out of the game going forward than with the original. If you were to buy just one version, this would be a great choice. The components are lovely and the instructions easy to follow - supplement them with a Youtube video if you get stuck (there are plenty) and you get can get straight in to some great games. It's a relaxing game to play - very enjoyable addition to our gaming collection.

Great game
Enjoy playing this with my Mum and Sister all the time. Pretty simple, but entertaining game.

Very enjoyable game
I purchased this game on the basis of having recently played the original version (which is excellent!). This subsequent version is also very enjoyable. There is a lot of strategy involved, and both versions are quite addictive. The game, however, is not suitable for young children. 🤠

A twist on the original Azul
If you like Azul you’ll enjoy this version, plays very similar but with a lot more strategy and totally different shapes but gives you a lot more options to score points, unlike the original Azul this version is a lot harder to stop your opponents from scoring, really well made and very tactile,a great game

Great fun strategic points based board game
Having played and enjoy original Azul this version has more elements to it. Whilst not difficult to pick up (after one game you know what’s going on) there aren’t lots more options in choosing and placing tiles to gain points, which means it’s not as easy to read your opponents strategy! A great game can be played in 30 - 60 minutes never sure who is winning until the final count!
