Waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom was something I dreaded because I would always be fully awake after sitting on my ice cold toilet seat. Nothing can wake you up quite like sitting on an icy toilet seat at 3am! Guys probably don't know how that feels but all you ladies do, I'm sure. So, since my bathroom is the coldest room in the house and I was sick of the ice cube toilet seat I decided to look for a heated toilet seat. Wasn't sure it existed or would be something I could afford if it did so I started Googling and found this Brondell Lumawarm heated seat. I was so excited and after reading all the great reviews decided to treat myself. OMG! I love, love, love it! My husband installed it for me in about 15 minutes, something wasn't lining up right but he figured it out and it fits perfectly on my elongated toilet. I bought a heavy duty 9ft extension cord since I don't have a plug next to my toilet and my husband just ran it along the baseboard and into the outlet. The nightlight is a pretty soft blue color so it's not shockingly bright. It provides just enough light so that you don't have to turn on an overhead light. I turn it off in the morning and back on before I go to bed. There are three heat settings, I keep mine on medium and it feels soooo good. I haven't used the high setting yet haven't needed to since the medium provided the right amount of heat for me. It's not like sitting on a seat that someone else warmed up so it's not a yucky feeling. It's like sitting on a heating pad that warms you right up. I can't believe I went so long without one, where has this been all my life?? When I leave for work in the morning I turn the heater off and as soon as I get home, I turn it back on. Every woman should have this especially if you're cold natured like me or live in a cold climate like I do.. My husband has his own bathroom so he hasn't tried it yet but I keep telling him he needs to, that he doesn't know what he's missing but then men don't spend as much time sitting on the toilet as women do. I highly recommend this product!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend, and she said it was the best Christmas gift she got! She has a bladder the size of a peanut, so she wakes up to pee several times a night. We live in a very cold area, where overnight temps are actually below freezing in the winter time. This thing takes the fear out of sitting on a cold toilet seat on a cold winter day. This seat is really warm, even on the lowest setting. I don't think I could use it on Medium or High. Low is warm enough. I don't use the night light feature as our bathroom has a small night light already built in. Ok, now for the one and only negative thing I have to say about this thing. If you are a guy, you most likely will lift the toilet seat up prior to using #1. The base of the seat (where the electronics are housed) is fairly large. The large base makes the toilet seat pivot point too far back. Now for just the toilet seat cover, its not a big deal. The cover stands straight up. But for the actual seat, it prevents the seat from standing straight up (perfectly vertical) on its own. So basically, you have to rely on the rubber grommets that are used inside of the housing where the seat pivots to hold it up at a slight angle forward. I tried moving the seat farther forward to help move the pivot point forward, but if you move it too far forward, then the rubber pads that are supposed to rest on the actual toilet rim no longer make contact on the rim and you risk breaking the seat. This hasn't been a huge deal breaker for me. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase. The seat has been working great for the last 3 months.

I purchased this seat since I live in an area where the winters are quite cold. This seat was very easy to install - remove the old seat, use the existing holes to insert this seat's clips, secure the clips from the underside of the toilet rim by turning the nuts, slide the new seat into the retaining clips, and plug it in, the end. The power cord is 4 feet in length so it should be long enough to reach a GFCI outlet in most bathrooms. I did purchase stick-on cable guides to secure the power cord in a neat manner. The heating function on this seat is very robust - I keep it on the lowest setting since anything higher is just too warm for my taste. The night light function is nice - no need to shock your eyes with light if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night since the glow of the night light is more than sufficient to light the way to relief. The seat has a soft close function so it doesn't crash down, scaring your and the neighbor's dog into barking fits. Cleaning the seat is a breeze with the exception of the interior and exterior horizontal seams of the seat (the seat is manufactured with a top and bottom piece and are joined horizontally). The seams are tangible and require a scouring pad or toothpick or an old toothbrush to get into them to clean them. That is a hindrance to cleaning but not a huge one. Overall this a a great seat to keep your buns warm as you TikTok away until your feet fall asleep during those cold months.

Like most of the human population, at some point in the middle of the night you’re going to have to get up and use the bathroom. As a man a cold toilet seat isn’t even close to the top of the list when it comes to comfort in my world but it’s the top of my GF’s list. So after i don’t know how long of hearing her get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and the gasps and sheer pain of those warm cheeks hitting that cold toilet seat i decided enough was enough. I’ve gotten up on several occasions just to go check on her bc it sounded like she was being attacked but it’s only her being stuck in the icy jaws of the porcelain shark that lives in our bathroom Installation was a breeze (come on there’s not really much to changing a toilet seat). If your husband or boyfriend can’t do it you need a new one (husband or boyfriend) or just get your daughter to do it. Luckily there’s an outlet right next to the toilet (GFCI of course bc we live by the code, die by the code round here) that i was able to plug into. We were greeted by a light blue ambiance and it started to heat up. After a few minutes she gave it a trial seating on the low setting. She put it on medium and decided that is her sweet spot. Now when she gets up to go to the bathroom at night i don’t have to go check out the screams with a baseball bat in fear of an intruder. I hear almost nothing except for the sighs and sounds of pure bliss. It has taken a small toll on our relationship bc she doesn’t want to get off the thing. I’ve just learned to be at peace with being replaced by a toilet seat. I guess it could be worse? Several times I’ve had to go check on her and I’ve found her sound asleep. I think it’s the soft blue glow of the night light that really relaxes her and the warm seat just induces a coma. I just smile, bring her a blanket, a pillow, and just tell myself “she really did hit the boyfriend lottery”. Yes you should buy this seat. It’s something you never knew you needed but you can’t go back after you’ve experienced it. I’ve even started sitting down to Number 1 bc i feel left out of all the joy this thing has brought into the home.

You won't believe it until you try it!! This seat is absolutely amazing and nice and warm when you sit on it. It has 3 different heat settings but I have only tried 2 of them. It's a must have!!

Hard to review something that's only been in use for a little over 3 weeks, but I figure I can edit it in the future if needed. Installation was easy - if you can handle installing any seat, you can handle this. The power source may be your only problem. My only gripe with this whole unit is the very short power cord (4'). I don't know of any home that has an outlet that close to the toilet, and having it that low in a bathroom I'm sure is against every electrical code out there today. I had to cut and splice a 5' extension to the cord in order to plug the unit in. Not a big deal for me, as I've been a mechanic, and home repair DIY'er forever. I also own a soldering iron, heat shrink tubing, and years of experience to make safe connections. Someone without this ability would probably have to have an electrician hook this thing up ($$$$$) - by law, I probably am supposed to as well ... but I digress. The seat heat to me is a gimmick - it works, no question, but I have no need for it personally (as a man, I only sit when I need to). I bought the seat mainly to surprise my wife. Very little difference between the temperature 3 settings, in my opinion. I did a current draw test on the unit after I installed it - it seems to work on a thermostat, as the initial wattage was higher than after it had been on for a while. It pulses in order to maintain temperature. I think the highest wattage I observed briefly was around the 55w range - it's never a constant draw, just like an electric oven, so you would never notice this thing on your electric bill. To me, the seat on low feels HOT - like it was painted black and left in the summer sun for an hour. My wife thinks its fine, but her skin feels hot to me, so I figure that's going to be very subjective. We left it on low the past 3 weeks, and everyone's happy - I get used to the heat after a while. We'll probably turn it off in the summer. Well, at least I will ... As a man, the LED light is fantastic for early morning bathroom use - no need to flip the light on and blind myself in order to make sure the stream goes in the bowl ... and not into the trash can next to it. It's pretty bright (see pic), contrary to prior reviews I've read, and it does stay on forever with no time-out. I thought it timed out on us at first, but when I turned the light on a second time, it stayed on - been 3 weeks now. Maybe that is by pressing the button a certain length of time? Not sure there - no mention of this in the meager directions. The soft-close seat and lid is also fantastic! Perfect speed - not too slow. Not having the seat SLAM down at 2am is great. If I had to nitpick at that, it would be that the seat itself doesn't sit flush to the lid when both are raised - it gives the feeling that it may fall ... which would create a very messy and infuriating deal, especially at 2am. Hasn't happened yet, but I hope that doesn't start to happen after a few years of use. I envision a clip to hold the seat to the lid when raised ... maybe I'll make something for that ... Can't think of anything else to say here. It's pretty fancy. Never saw myself spending this much coin on a friggin toilet seat ... but the things a man will do for his woman know no bounds. So far, I don't regret the purchase. ;) EDIT: 2/6/2021 - 4 years and one month of service, still works great! About the only complaints I have is the seat won't stay up unless you hold it for a while. Our floor is crooked in this 180 year old house, so YMMV. Also if the power goes out, neither the heat nor the light defaults to the "on" position. These are nitpicks - the seat is great. My wife couldn't live without it now, and comments when we use other bathrooms, LOL.

I’m very happy with this toilet seat warmer. Installation was incredibly easy and took less than two minutes from start to finish. The cord length is generous, which made positioning and plugging it in very convenient. I especially like that it has three heat settings, so you can adjust the temperature depending on your preference. The indicator light is also very convenient and makes it easy to see when the warmer is on. The only small thing I would recommend is adding a washer to the bottom bolt that secures the seat, just to ensure it stays firmly in place over time. I ordered one separately to make sure it doesn’t loosen. Overall, this is a great product, very comfortable, simple to install, and works exactly as expected. I highly recommend it.

The best purchase I made this year and I also bought a car! The seat was easy to install ( I had a handyman do it) and it tool less than 30 minutes. It felt like a life saver in the winter but I leave the heat on all year. The lid is soft close and I like that there is no loud bang when I shut it. I like the light feature, especially when I wake up in the middle of the night but I am also wide awake with the light so I don't use it. It's not very bright though, it just takes very little light to wake me up. I read some reviews that the highest setting is to hot but not for me. I should have done this years ago!

I am so happy with this toilet seat. The only issue I encountered was that it is an American product and I am UK-based so needed an electrician and a transformer to install it. Not quite as easy as just plugging it in if you're in the US, but the lowest warmth setting is perfect and it fits my toilet bowel perfectly too.

Okay, folks, don't make the same mistake I made. I was pretty sure my toilet would need the elongated version of this seat, not this round version. So I checked the measurements for this round seat, and the product specs list it at 47 cm. I took the tape measure to my toilet seat at home, and it was 47 cm. So I said to myself, "Self, I guess my toilet needs the round version after all." Wrong. What I didn't take into account, and what the product listing doesn't mention, is that a couple inches of the spec measurement includes the piece that houses the seat's electrical components. Of course, this piece doesn't exist on my toilet seat at home. This became patently obvious when I tried to place the round seat on my toilet, and it coming up a couple inches short of the end of the bowl. I knew immediately the mistake I'd made. Anyways, no big deal. I simply returned the round seat and ordered the elongated one which should fit my bowl. I hope my advice will help others to adjust their measurements accordingly when choosing between the two versions of the seats for their home commode. In terms of the actual product, in my initial observations of the seat, it had a clean, smart look about it, and the controls of the seat were pretty straight-forward. A heat level button, offering three levels of heat differential, and the light on/off button. Installation was exceedingly simple, done in less than five minutes. While I obviously didn't get the opportunity to try the seat, my initial observations seemed to concur with the other reviews here, so I have no issues rating at five stars. Will alter this accordingly, if needed, after using the actual seat when I receive the proper size for my bowl.

Easy to put on toilet. Just 3 to 10 minutes to remove old seat and install. No more cold bums and night lite great for those late night/early morning visits. We love it, should havve bought years ago.

It was easy to install. Loved seeing the LED night light and the heated seat and low setting is divine! Could not be happier.

I absolutely love my heated toilet seat lol so do my guests bathroom downstairs it’s kind of cool but it’s great to sit your ass. Down on a warm seat. Total thumbs up the lights. Kinda cool too. I am the wiring in a plug-in within 3 feet. Of the toilet, so that I could just plug it in. I’ve had it for a long time now, and it has been great!!
