I did a lot of searching online, reading reviews and watching videos. Finally decided on this one and it was the right choice. It really is the best value for the money. I found some less expensive but they looked cheap. I also found some more expensive which may have been even better, but why pay more if you don't need to. Got these on Memorial Day sale via Amazon. Assembly was relatively easy. There are a lot of nuts, bolts, screws and pieces. I assembled this myself which took me about 16 working hours. If you have more help, it should go much quicker. Provided directions are pretty good but watch some videos to get a better idea. Very sturdy and looks fantastic. I've received many compliments on them. I ended up buying 2 of these.

I ordered this gazebo and it came 10 days later. I ordered the 13x15 grey and black roof. it came in 5 boxes each about 100 pounds. the build quality is pretty good for the price and it is sturdy once assembled and especially with 3/8 x 3 inch sleeve anchors going into the concrete through the post brackets that i drilled and put in. Nothing came damaged except a couple roof sheets that the corners were a little bent but i used pliers to bend it straight. Assembly took about 2 days for me and another guy. You need 2 people minimum i cant see a single person building this. the instructions are pretty simple just follow carefully and make sure orientation is correct. The only complaint is the middle sections of the roof have nothing holding them down, only the top and bottom have screws. i went to Lowes and bought 24 stainless screws 1/4 inch by 2 inches long and locknuts and washers and drilled through the roof panels and the middle support brackets and it made the panels way more sturdy and they cant flap in the wind now. 6 screws on the long sides and 5 on the shorter sides, only where the sheets overlap. other than that it is a good buy for anyone that is considering it. i was gonna buy the 14x16 Purple Leaf but considering this was $1000 less when i bought it for a foot less on both sides it was a no brainer. Here are some pics done. I also added some gazebo lights they are 60ft total 16 lights spread apart 3Ft each in between and it goes around the gazebo perfectly. In the rain it is great if theres really heabvy rain only some drops from splashing get throught the top open part but nothing crazy.

I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about a prefab product like this. As it turns out, my hesitation was unwarranted. The product arrived on the date that it was supposed to arrive, it was well packaged, and the shippers placed it where I needed it placed. It took two guys most of a day to put it together, but the instructions were fairly easy to follow, and everything fit together as it was supposed to. There were no missing or broken pieces, so I did not need to deal with their customer service department. The finished product is absolutely stunning, and exceeded all of my expectations. The wood is all high quality, arrow straight, and nicely finished. The metal parts are solid, sturdy, and very nicely finished. I truly love this gazebo, and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their back yard.

Received this item within a couple weeks of ordering. Boxes were a bit damaged in shipping. Missing some critical bolts, but Sunjoy was very responsive and shipped them to us right away. Only took about another week. My only complaint is that this is supposedly a Cedar gazebo and it's really "China Pine", as they say in the instructions. Wood is pretty soft and easy to splinter. I split a cross beam on the second step. Was able to sandwich it between two other pieces I had, so should be strong enough. Like many of these gazebos, the more you put it together, the more reinforced it is. It is definitely a 2 person job, mainly for assembling the frame. After that, it is a lot of nuts and bolts to assemble the roof. Not hard at all, but takes some time. Not being in a hurry, it has taken a few days to finish. You could do it in 2 days, or if you have two motivated folks, probably a day. Directions are all pictograms, so sometimes a little unclear. Other than that, no real issues with assembly and the gazebo looks very nice and is sturdy. will be using a waterproof stain on the wood for weather protection before the weather turns.

This is a very good product. The diagrams were easy to follow with all the pieces fitting together perfectly. I was able to do a lot of the construction solo needing help with posts being stood up and beams attached as well as the roof. Also my brother in law did a beautiful job squaring the whole thing before we started the roof. I absolutely know the roof would not have gone on as easily if it had not been squared so good within 1/8 of an inch corners to corners. Also when you get to the roof, panel 16 is not screwed into the frame on either side or top so you must make sure that you overlap both sides with panel 15 and 17 otherwise the wind is going to catch it. You’ll see what I’m talking about. The instructions does not say anything about that. I didn’t have a concrete slab or porch to screw the base of the Pergola into so I stood it into the galvanized metal tubs (pictures included) and filled it with 200 pounds of concrete. I think that will do the job. Before even constructing the entire Pergola I made sure that the pavers under tubs was completely level.

We love our gazebo. Installation was easier than I thought. Took my husband and I 2 days and it was not an all day project. About 6 hours each day. So far pretty sturdy, it's been up for about 3 weeks now, we've had 2 episodes of strong wind and did not shake. We had the aluminum type ones before which broke in several pieces after a very windy day. No regrets here. Instruction could have been easier to read but overall okay to follow with diagrams. We think some holes were missing on some of the roof panels but my husband worked around it. Will recommend.

Product missing parts and ruined fast

I am always cautions with the installation of large items. This was definitely a large item to assemble. So many times you have problems. BUT NOT HERE. This Gazebo is great. Quality parts, solid oiled cedar wood, powder coated steel roof, all protected from shipping mishaps. Directions were excellent, easy to understand. They include a bag of spare parts just in case, we didn't need many. I love it. Very sturdy. My old Gazebo would get blown around, had to weigh it down. I don't think this one is going anywhere. 500 lbs and vented roof to let wind escape. Installation: Other reviews report taking days to assemble. There were 3 of us, 3 ladders and good tools. You need a power screwdriver/nutdriver! We began unpacking and sorting parts at 7am. Sitting in chairs enjoying the shade under the Gazebo at 3pm! Have already recommended this highly to others. I am very impressed with this Sunjoy product.

Built it myself, super easy to do. Took about 8 hours. Quality gazebo!!

Small wind and all wood broke apart and shed broken into pieces… wont recommend at all… really all money gone to zero value.

What a great gazebo. It’s quite sturdy. Definately need 3 people to set up. A good ladder. Took most of day to build but great.

Reasonable to build with an extra set of hands. Can’t beat this Gazebo for the money. An excellent value and it looks great. I’d highly recommend this Gazebo.
