Love my echo. But sometime she acts up. So I have to do a restart so it can work correctly again. Other than that it is great.

***READ ME*** I'm rating this 5* only so the people may see my opinion since Amazon has a habit of only displaying the high ratings. -buyer beware- The sound quality for music is not good. I'd rate it at BEST 3/10. Bass is nonexistent, honestly the only thing that sounds good on this device is the responsive voice itself. Which, if that's what you're looking for, great! 👍🏻 The system is glitchy, it'll randomly turn off at times and won't turn back on without a hard reset of unplugging for 5 minutes and plugging it back in. Not ideal as it's supposedly a hands free assistant. The ads? Oh. My. God. Constant, always advertising something. And don't be fooled, Alexa listens. Yes, she'll curate specific ads for you based on what you talk about in your home: whether you liked the item, or not, she heard it, she's showing it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I bought this device for the multipurpose aspects she advertises to use. Such as, viewing compatible cameras around the house. Does she do that? Nope. Bought new specific cameras for this Alexa, she can't be bothered. ALTHOUGH... She has been great for this: the weather, setting timers, and (when she works) displaying the time. If you're looking for much more than that, I'd recommend you look somewhere else. I had the round echo and traded it in on this show 5, I am very pleased with it, the screen is very sharp and easy to see, I connected a set of speakers with bluetooth and stream my sirusxm and the sound is great. I use Alexa for everything in my house.Next thing I will be getting is the door bell and camera to go with it.

Sound quality is nice and bass is loud. I love the size and look but the display is a little lacking. The quality is okay and response time is iffy. Ease of use can be annoying but it gets the job done eventually.

Has a number of issues. Unlike my ancient Echo dots, I can sit at the desk this thing sits on, in a silent office, and shout the wake word at it repeatedly with no response. This makes it useless for a lot of functions because it's so difficult to make it stop something once it's started. Since the mic doesn't pick up in a silent room, it obviously isn't going to pick up over the sound of whatever it's playing. Also, getting information like weather from it is a huge deal as well. It's easier to lean back in my chair and call across two rooms to the Echo dot. I spent an hour with an Amazon tech trying to solve the issue of the Echo show refusing to stay on one home screen. What the tech apparently didn't know is that it's a feature, not a bug. You can't make it stop switching. Having it in my peripheral vision while it switched screens every 15 or so seconds was obnoxiously distracting, so I had to move it. Regardless of where I set the volume, its reminders boom out at earsplitting full volume. Not good for someone working from home. Or anyone with neighbors. When I got it, settings were available through a hamburger button on the screen. After updating, the hamburger button is gone and the only way to access settings is verbally. Which is a problem, since it ignores the wake word most of the time. I'm not sure whether I will return it. I ordered it at about half price, so that I could use it to video chat with a relative who is being discharged from the hospital. I'm waiting to see how well it performs at that function. If that's as bad as the other functions, I'll return it.
