Pelican Marine Water-Resistant Sling Bag with Adjustable Strap (2L) - Black

So I read all of the reviews stating the bag isn’t waterproof. I truly think the issue, is the bag zipper not being zipped all the way. Meaning there is a little “notch” that the zipper fits into fully closed. I put this bag through a torture test at Adventure Island in Tampa. I had the bag submerged in a lazy river, crashed into at the wave pool, hanging crossbody in water slides and should no signs of water inside. For my test, I made sure I didn’t have anything that couldn’t get wet in the bag. But regardless, nothing got wet. AND I opened and closed it multiple times throughout the day to pull out my phone and waterproof camera. This bag will definitely be on my to-bring outdoor fun list.

I only have two complaints. First, omg the zipper is impossible to pull unless you use two hands and it’s hard to perfectly get it to the end so that water doesn’t go in. Second, the bag flips upside down easily and it’s annoying to adjust. The pro is that it is waterproof. I went completely underwater with it without a problem. The touch screen is the easiest one I’ve used out of all my waterproof bags. The only down fall is that because it’s a bag, you can’t take photos since the back side isn’t see through. But if you just want to answer text msgs, scroll fb, or check the time, it perfectly does the job.

Despite some negative reviews about it not being fully waterproof, I really love this Pelican bag. While the zippers aren’t completely watertight, I wasn’t planning to submerge it, just needed something water-resistant to protect my belongings, and it does that well. The zipper can be a bit tough to open and close, but I actually see that as a plus, it makes it harder for unwanted hands to get in. Its lightweight easy to clean and a must-have for the beach or any trip where you need something practical without having to stuff your pockets. I’ve taken it to various places, and it’s held up great in both hot and cold environments.

Is it waterproof? I guess maybe but so are ziplock bags and they are much cheaper. The zipper is so stiff it took me a minute to even open it the first time. The strap is too short and only comes down to your lower rib when fully extended so dont think it will extend down around your belt line and be a little comfortable as in their pictures in the ad. The strap digs into your neck and is extremely stiff. The carabiner is a play toy. The plastic screen for your phone will be scratched up no time at all so expect that after a weeks worth of use. It's also too small for much. I'm not at all happy with it. Buy zip lock bags and a nice sling. You will be much happier I can guarantee that! Dont waste your money!!!! I'm sure glad I got it in sale for 20 bucks or I'd be really unhappy. Scratch that, I am really unhappy. I'd be livid

One of the best things I purchased for my last cruise vacation. One of our excursions was a day of tubing in an underground cave in Belize. This kept my passport, my money, and most importantly, my rescue inhaler completely dry the entire day. The zipper is a real hard pole, but this thing is literally water tight and with it also being a Crossbody bag, it was easy to have either front or on my back while I was doing other water excursions as well. Worth every penny, this thing now lives in my “go bag” ❤️

Works at keeping things dry, but the zipper is horrible. Pretty sure with a good amount of use the zipper will rip off. I like everything about the case, size, protection, window, but the zipper makes it quite difficult to use. I did try to use some zipper lube, but it didn’t really help

UPDATE. I’ve taken this bag on 4 vacations now. It’s survived 28 days of floating around pools all over Mexico and the Caribbean with all this stuff in it. Pool chemicals and sunscreen residue has it looking beat up, but it’s still dry inside. Best waterproof bag I’ve owned and I’ve owned a lot. Big enough to hold everything I need for a day on a resort for vacation. Phone, Kindle, headphones, sunscreen, gum, money, bottle of Mio and more. Not a drop of water has gotten in so far in over 3 days. The bag stays in the water with me - IN THE WATER. Keeping it in the water stops the phone from going into “temperature warning” as I listen to music all day in the pools. The zipper is not hard to use despite the comments saying so. It’s like every other waterproof zipper.

I bought this as I have several of their products and the screen phone function whilst in the bag is great. Perfect size too.

Case lives up to the company name. You need to get used to the stiff zipper. This is not a complaint. When closed properly, the case is like a balloon, and it floats. and the clear insert on the top allows you to see/use your phone.

Great bag and has large capacity to keep phone, keys etc dry while fishing

Amazing bag for outdoors. Waterproof. Zipper is a bit hard to open but I guess that's how it should be so it can maintain the seal.
