Henleys Insect Repellent Spray | DEET-Free | Long-Lasting Protection | Mosquito Repellent | Tropical Strength

I used this in Greece in July and didn’t get bitten. It smells a lot better than Deet sprays and is also cooling, so much so that I’ve used it as an after bite spray when I haven’t taken it out and have paid the price. Got bitten badly all over my ankles and legs in the UK last week, at a barbecue, and have been using it every day and the bites are far less itchy than normal, as the spray cools and relieves the itch and the bites themselves seem to be healing quicker too.

Four weeks in Cyprus and no mosquito bites. It is strong smelling but you do get used to it. Best product I've ever had.

I have given this only 4 stars because, as yet, I am unable to say how good it is as an insect repellant, mosquitos in particular. What I can say is that the product description indicates that the ingredients are endorsed by the London Tropical School of Medicine and others and so I have high hopes it will work. You (I) need a magnifying glass to read the information on the spray bottle but, I think we all know how to use a repellant spray. The product smells good, natural and lemony, citronella - Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus is the ingredient, some of these repellants smell chemical but this does not. This does not contain the chemical Deet, a huge bonus as I find this irritating and, it is said to be damaging to the environment. I have experienced no reaction when patch testing this Henley's product and the scent lingers which is a good sign. It's not greasy and rubs in easily. The repellant is said to be made in the UK which is good; you get 100 ml; it works against ticks, mosquito's and midges, all of which make a bee-line for me, so I cannot wait to try it out properly. It tells you in the wee instructions how long the application will last after spraying, per blighter! It has a 3 year shelf life. Pricewise, this easily compares to similar repellants and if it works, without the Diet I will definately update (I only ever found one product that work and that did not contain Deet either, so am sure it will live up to it's promise)
