Hyde Tools 43510 Painters Pyramid - 2 Pack

These work well. Bought some more to add to what I already have. My only caveat is that they are hard so using a soft wood or even plopping a hardwood on the top can create a slight indentation.

This is the coolest invention! When painting cabinet doors, I could paint the back and sides. This elevated the doors so the wet sides wouldn't stick to the table. Then when they were dry, I could flip them over and paint the other side. I wasn't sure if there would be a mark on the back where the painter's pyramid pierced the fresh paint , but you can't even see it unless you're looking for it. The trick is paint the back and sides. Let it dry (a day), flip it and paint the other side.

Not great quality. Very slick bottoms so won't stay still. Has screw holes to mount if you want perminate locations.. Some clips to connect 2 together but won't lay flat.

I feel like the concept is right, but the execution was difficult. We purchased these to assist in painting our cabinet doors so the paint wouldn’t sit at the edges. Works perfect for that, but they kept moving on us as we painted (couldn’t touch the TSP), and then falling off the table. If you’re able to secure them to the table top you’re working on, then they work great.

I really thought this was going to help elevate my painting and staining projects to avoid dripping and improve dry time by allowing airflow...and it probably would, as long as what you are painting is an extremely hard wood. However, if you are working with a regular lumber yard variety of pine or white wood, be ready to have tiny dents left in all of your pieces when you flip the wood over.I was redoing my original kitchen cabinets from the 1950's and thought these would help out the process. However I found that the point on the tip of the pyramid is VERY POINTY and they left tiny dents every where they were placed, and if the wood happened to be repositioned while I was working on it, then it left dotted line scrapes along the wood.I was so optimistic that these would be great, that I bought 2 sets! Bummer. Buy with caution and only if you are working with extremely hard woods.

I used the product whIle painting ship lap boards for a house project. Remember to make sure the point has contact with the other piece. The boards might have been slightly twisted over the length of the board. As I sprayed the tripod would move. Stackable for storage.

These painters pyramids were the perfect and necessary addition to our kitchen DIY make over. Painting the sides of the doors and drawer fronts without getting paint all over the drop cloths and then having them stick to it was completely avoided. Painting the sides as well as the front and back were a breeze.

OMG! So glad I bought these for doing over my kitchen cabinets. We painted our old oak kitchen cabinets white and these were a life savor in terms of the cabinets not sticking to the ground! The are very sturdy and can elevate a cabinet door with no problem , so when they are down on the floor, you have NO worries after doors sticking after painting them. LOVE LOVE THESE TRIANGLES!!!
