A large capacity (580ml) nonstick milk frother, coffee, hot chocolate, and milk shake maker. It comes with 2 stirrers, a clear lid and a power base. It has graduated ml markings inside, starting at 200ml, going up to 550ml in 50ml stages. I received this as a Christmas present, mainly for use as a hot chocolate and milkshake maker, but of course as the label on the side states, it can be used to make hot frothy milk and various coffees. The same label also states what internal attachments you need for the various drinks. What I like was that there is no post to put the stirrers on, unlike other types of frothers, it seems to operate on magnetism, and this turns the stirrer, making it very easy to clean the inside, as removing the everything is very easy, a matter of just lifting them out. Once you have selected your number on the dial, this corresponds to the type of drink you want, pour in your milk, add your chocolate flakes, if making hot chocolate, and press the start button. The machine starts very slowly, so don’t think it’s faulty, just let it do its thing. First it will heat the milk up, then gently agitate it, then it will start the full stir, frothing the hot chocolate up nicely. It pours out the drink effortlessly without making any mess and I suggest you clean the inside as soon as you have poured the drink out, to save it drying on the nonstick surface, making it harder to clean. Wipe with a damp cloth and then dry. Don’t forget to clean the stirrers are the same time and allow to air dry, so that you don’t break the tiny filaments when drying. I have tried it with various types of milk, including semi, lactose free, oat and coconut milk and they all froth up perfectly. A great practical and multi use frother, that I’d thoroughly recommend, I’ve tried the rest and now I have tried the best.

I bought this because Dualit also make Hotel Chocolat's Velvetiser. I had hoped this would word similarly, and it absolutely does. The main differences are 1. Price 2. Functions 3. Whisk size. 1. The Dualit milk frother is ~£50. The Velvetiser is ~£100. 2. The Dualit milk frother has a warm froth, warm and cool froth setting. The Velvetiser has only the latter two settings. 3. The Dualit milk frother has a finer whisk. The Velvetiser has a more coarse whisk. The finer whisk means it creates hot, frothy, velvety milk easily. My concern was that it would struggle with hot chocolate flakes, but it operates just as well as the Velvetiser does. I've used this with hot chocolate powder, hot chocolate flakes (not the Hotel Chocolat ones though) and iced coffee powder. It worked excellently with all three, though I would recommend (in line with Dualit) you don't use it with hot chocolate powder just because this is laden with sugar, and can cause burning. Chocolate flakes are the way to go! I would recommend the warm milk setting for hot chocolate. I've also used to froth plant milks as well as cows milks, and it froths them all well for use in coffee (I used the barista versions of oat, rice and coconut milk, I used ordinary soy milk). It heats the milk to the perfect temperature, and holds enough frothy milk for two coffees. It is very very quiet - far more so than I was expecting; it's far far quieter than the coffee machine or kettle. It's also very easy to clean. I put in cold water after I've used it to the max line with a drop of washing up liquid, and set it to go on the warm setting; it effectively cleans itself. Overall I would recommend, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

Very pleased with this product. Easy to use and easy to clean. Makes great frothy coffees and lovely hot chocolate. I have used the dualit flakes, chocolate powder and diced chocolate from a small bar and each method has made a perfect hot chocolate drink. Glad I got the larger model so that I can make drinks for my husband at the same time. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and I would highly recommend it.

I have been using since Christmas, as this was a gift for my wife. It is simple to use for various coffee, chocolate, milk drinks with different settings for each. In reality the setting just seem to increase the froth. My only issue is the heat. If you use milk from the fridge it doesn't get very hot. I have taken to warming the milk in the microwave first. Or you could run the program twice. It is easy to clean.

Love this milk frother, bought to replace a previous dualit one which gave up after 10 years. Easy to use, though takes a while compared to the old one. The mil is just the right temperature and I do 200ml of milk for 600ml of coffee to get 2 delicious lattes. Clean with a scratch resistant sponge and pop back on the base. It is very large though, so maybe only one for people with plenty of counter-top space, or if coffee is very important. Haven't used for hot chocolate, but am sure it would be delicious. The size is good for when I have guests and don't want to be heating up separate batches of warm milk.

Item broke within 6months of light use. Amazon seem to be making it harder to get in contact. Still under warranty but no route to replace given. Wasting a lot of time on this. Amazon incredibly unhelpful in trying to resolve. Seller did not respond until Amazon got involved. Will cost me £20 approx to send this back to them. Avoid this seller

I’ve only just received it, so far so good, I’m using semi skimmed milk, I’m going to try lactose free milk. This Dualit milk frother is much bigger and better than my previous one. On my previous Dualit milk frother I used a plant based milk and it spoilt the coating I should have used the barista plant based milk. I needed to lower the sugar content as I’m diabetic. Hopefully the lactose free milk will be okay.

Remarkably easy to clean with no stubborn milk residue. Simple and intuitive to operate with a sturdy feel. Cons The unit has a large footprint and takes up a fair amount of counter space. Takes a few minutes to finish, so it is not the fastest option on the market. Summary I have been using the Dualit Milk Frother Max for six months now and it has genuinely transformed my morning routine. I previously owned a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser, but I found the capacity quite limiting for daily use. This Dualit model is much better for my needs because the 540ml jug allows for a significantly larger drink in one go. I primarily use it to make matcha lattes, and it whisks the powder in perfectly while producing a really thick, frothy texture every single time. While it is a fairly bulky machine that requires some dedicated kitchen worktop space, the performance justifies the size. It is very easy to maintain and has proven to be incredibly reliable so far. It still performs as brilliantly as the day I bought it, and although I purchased the extra protection as a precaution, it seems built to last. If you are looking for barista-style foam in a much more practical size than standard frothers, this is an excellent choice.

Imagine my surprise purchasing this item on the US Amazon and receiving a power cord that is decidedly for European use. I can't use this in my home, but it looks lovely. If in the US, this is not for you.
