Long lasting sole doesn't wear out before the upper
I wear shoes out quick on my job, and I usually buy 3 pairs a year even with good work shoes. The sole wears out, or leaks, or splits, or cracks apart with most modern glued shoes, but these Titan soles last the longest I've found. Excellent all around solid work shoe, good non slip traction, and my feet don't hurt. I use Superfeet Orange Insoles. Eventually the leather gets too scuffed and the inside wears out so I throw them out but the sole is still decent. Negatives are the alloy toe beeps metal detectors, and the soft leather collects dirt.

Ladies - don't spoil your man with these shoes!
My husband is so loyal to this shoe that it's the only one he will wear - day in and day out - year after year. Sometimes he switches it up with the Titan 6" steel toe boot in the winter, but still the same comfort, fit and protection he has come to know and love all these years. He has gotten a pair for Christmas and a pair for his birthday (in the summer) every year for the past decade at least. If that's not a resounding endorsement for a good product, I don't know what is! Features he likes: comfortable and supportive for all day work and then some, steel toe protection, tough but pliable leather, oil and skid resistant sole, consistent sizing. You really have to scour to score a good deal now as prices are always going up and up. But he's worth it ;)

Great Shoe!
I've been wearing these shoes for 20+ years and I love them. They are low and therefore not suitable for field work. I wear them for mechanics and light carpentry jobs around the house. I find them comfortable for hours of wear and they provide ample support for hours of standing and climbing ladders. They are easy on and off as compared to traditional high work shoes. The lug sole will trap/track mud around, but it's not as bad (and therefore better suited for inside work)than a Vibram style sole. I like the leather uppers, which polish up nicely for a casual night out. I bought the similar Timberland 47015 shoe and have worn it for several years. This Christmas I bought a pair for my dad. The 47015 shoe has a "soft toe", is not heavy and the color is cordovan. The leather is very good quality and takes polish well. Dad likes the lighter shoe. This year, I wanted the safety toe so I opted for the 40044 Titan shoe. The shoe is definitely heavier and the color is dark brown as compared to the cordovan 47015 shoe. Both shoes fit the same and were true to size. I just read a few reviews that say the shoe wears out quickly. I am hopeful that I'll get similar service from these as past pairs I've owned, which were "very good". My current "last pair" wore through the sole while the uppers and foot bed are still ok. I'm still considering getting them re-soled ($65) for use as a spare.

Cheaper alternative to Red Wings, but not quite as well made
Overall, these are pretty good shoes. I paid just a shade under 100 for them, and I feel they are worth it. If you're familiar with Red Wings pricing, you'll know that these are about half of what similar style RW would cost. I opted for these because I didn't want to spend 200 on a pair that isn't going to get quite the same workout as my Red Wings - these are for work around the lab and office, but nothing as strenuous as walking around a plant for 8 hours a day. The Red Wings have always been good to me there, but they're so dang expensive. All in all, these are a good buy. They are quite comfortable, I've had no issues wearing them all day and feeling just fine. The one downside is that the leather is clearly a lower quality than my Red Wings - it's a bit rougher and scuffs / cuts much easier. While it seems thick enough to withstand normal wear and tear, I worry about the longevity of the leather. Still, for half the price of what I normally pay, I guess they're pretty good. They did run a bit large for me - I normally wear a 15 and the 15 in these was too big. I stepped down to a 14 and they're pretty good, so I'd say they run about one half to one full size larger.

Great shoe!
Best safety shoe I've ever wore, wore out between 12-15 pairs of these. I get about 8-10 months before my waddle wears out the heels, some reviewers claim to get years out of these. I continue to buy as these fit my feet out of the box and are the most comfortable for all day intensive activity. Only downsides I've experienced are the heels seem to wear fast and for some reason the right one keeps coming untied, heels probably wear faster due to the softer material that makes them comfortable to wear for 12-16 hours, I could go back 50 years and learn how to tie my shoelaces but probably wouldn't pay attention again. One of my favorite things about theses shoes is when the friendly safety ******* asks if they are steel toe I say no, after watching the veins pop out and getting the talk on safety I ask what they got against titanium, A bit pricey, but worth it.

Solid work shoe
I've been wearing this comfortable shoe 5 days a week for work for over a year now. That should be all that I need to say, since work shoes in my profession get abused, and I have struggled with shoe life. I've gone through Keens and Redwings faster, and for a while, I just consigned to buying cheap, off-brand work shoes and expecting them to only last months. My Timberlands look used, with gouges exposing the composite toe and scuffs all over, but the soles are hardly worn, the leather is still soft, and the laces are not frayed. I've replaced the insole once, and I plan to purchase another pair of these within the next 3 years, if these ever wear out enough for me.

Weird insole
I like the look and overall feel of these boots. My main issue is that the outer sides of the insole turn up and it feels weird on the outside of my feet. It's like there is arch support on the wrong side like I have them on the wrong feet (I don't by the way lol) I can slide the insole over and it's less noticeable, but they end up right back there eventually and it's a little annoying. Maybe I just need extra wide instead of wide, but it's still unusual how they turn up. I'm likely going to just buy some new insoles instead of sending them back.

Good boot, well made
The fit and size is true to size. Love that it comes in a wide fit. My husband bought these about 7 years ago and loved them so we bought another pair. Long lasting, good support!

comodidad

luxury safety shoe,
As a luxury safety shoe for your daily construction site visit, I should say Design &Quality are great! it looks like a part of your foot when you walking. these are not heavy at all like CATERPILLAR and these are very flexible. but I do not recommend it for the concrete job! it is better to wear rubber safety shoes instead of leather ones.

Very good safety shoes.
These are the most comfortable safety shoes I’ve ever had. They suited me well and didn’t restrict my toes. I happily wore them all day without any problems. Highly recommend.
