Puritan's Pride Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM Tablets, 2 Per Day Formula

We ordered this brand because we thought it was on sale, but it was not - and we are glad we made the error because it is worth every penny. Puritan's Pride Alpha Lipoic Acid is the best one we have tried (out of at least five other brands)- one capsule goes a long way with this potent free radical scavenger. ALA also works in conjunction with acetyl l-carntine and NAC, which is why we came to buy it from amazon - and again - we are super glad to have tried this brand because it is the only ALA we will buy from now on. Oh, and the 600 mg capsules are better if taken with food a full glass of warm water. If you take it on an empty stomach - there can be a slight warm feeling in the chest or gut. Not bad, just weird - and the label suggests that it is better with a meal - we agree.

I have had diabetes for at least 15 years. Although I try to control my diet, it is difficult. Consequently, my neuropathy has gotten worse. Until early May, 2016, I had only the numb, tingly type of neuropathy, not the painful type. That changed in May when I started to get a painful burning in the heel of my left foot. The burning would wake me up while I was sleeping. So in May I ordered this brand of alpha lipoic acid. The very first night after taking it, there was no pain. I had about five days with no pain, and then the pain began to come back, but just a little. After a week or two of taking the ALA, there were a couple days when the pain got worse (during the days but not at night). Then, suddenly, the pain subsided substantially, and I have been mostly pain-free for almost a week. Clearly, the longer I take this stuff, the better it works. As a long-time diabetic, here is my advice to you: (1) Count the carbohydrates you eat and keep them to 150 grams per day or less, (2) test your blood sugar when waking, before eating your largest meal, and about 90 minutes after eating your largest meal, (3) inject insulin (with your physician's approval) if your blood-sugar numbers are frequently over 180 (both insulin and syringes are available without prescription in most states -- Walmart has the lowest prices for insulin), and take alpha lipoic acid if your neuropathy is painful. (Insulin must always be injected into fat, not into muscle or blood vessels. The stomach is the best area to inject it.) Regarding insulin, the two types that are available without a prescription are Regular and 70/30. I recommend that you take mostly Regular with a little 70/30 mixed in (you will have to experiment with the dosage). You can inject it twice a day: once before breakfast, which will allow you to eat breakfast and lunch (if lunch is eaten within five hours of the injection), and once before dinner (which will allow you to eat dinner and a bedtime snack, if the snack is eaten within 5 hours of the injection). Regarding medications, the only medication that doesn't have a harmful side-effect is metformin (which requires a prescription). All the other medications have drawbacks. Metformin will give you the runs for a couple weeks, but then your body will get used to it. It is best to take extended-release metformin.

I have some nerve inpingement and this seems to help. It by no means a cure. There is none. But I take this and a daily supplement. Vitamin D is ral important too. Alpha Liopic acid was recommned by my neurologist along with a few other things to TRY. I recommend.

Purchased Puritans Pride Triple Strength Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Msm Joint Soother, 180 Count for my husband who has knee problems. In comparison to other brands (same strength, same amount), this is the best deal on these I could find and have purchased them more than once. Unlike some other brands which tout the same amounts of ingredients, you have to take less capsules with the Puritans Pride to get the same benefits than with other brands so they last longer. Just a side note if you are a first timer buyer - some supplements, including Glucosamine, don't work as soon as you start taking them. For my husband, it took about 3 months or thereabouts to start feeling the benefits, but he swears by them.

Helps with Knee Pain and Strengthen my Knee Joint. Have been using this for over 20 Years and it Works. Tried the NEW BLUE Pills and they did not work. When back to the old white pills and they relived my Knee Pain and Strengthen my Knee Joint. With the NEW BLUE Pills my knee would give out and cause me to loose my balance after a Week on the old Pills my Knee joint is much better and not given out anymore

My usual brand being unavailable, I opted for these. All of the 2 per day glucosamine tabs are large, but these were bigger by far. They are also an off-grey colour, which shouldn’t make a difference, but along with the size… it’s just off-putting. These are not fun to swallow. I’ll be replacing them asap. 🫤

Ho subito interventi al menisco e ai legamenti di entrambe le ginocchia e prendevo già questo prodotto in Brasile da diversi anni, perché è davvero quello con la più alta concentrazione di glucosamina e condroitina che io conosca. Ultimamente è stato difficile trovarlo in commercio e per questo ho iniziato a usarne uno di un'altra marca, molto buono, ma onestamente non con la stessa concentrazione che offre questo. Se avete bisogno di questo tipo di integratore come me e lo trovate disponibile... COMPRATELO!!! È il migliore!!
