Love these beads. Easy for 5 year old to snap together

I had these when I was as a kid and they are just as frustrating for my kid to do myself as they were for me. They are just TOO HARD for younger kids. But she keeps trying and she will get them to connect on her own eventually. For now I am happy to help create fun creative jewelry with my toddler. They pop together with a little finesse the first few times but loosen up eventually.

This is an excellent set that my creative daughter, who will be six next month, loves playing with. It has an easy-to-use compartmentalized container to organize all the bits and bobs, making all the pieces easily accessible and easy to put away. It's also fun to play with yourself. It makes an excellent gift for kids old enough to refrain from putting the pieces in their mouths and swallowing them. Expect a lot of new jewelry pieces from your creative fashionista that you'll fully be expected to wear. Expect to find bits of this throughout your house as their creations start popping apart. Then be philosophical about it and grateful that these bits aren't as painful to step on as Legos. Bwahahahaha!

Gosh, I'd forgotten all about "Pop Beads". I now recall having a set of them as a child (too many decades ago to brag about) that I absolutely loved. I recall making all sorts of jewelry and decorations with my set which long ago disappeared. It's a concept that is simple, instinctive and relies heavily on creativity.When I saw this set, I knew I had to obtain it for a certain special little girl in my life. This set far exceeds the one I had. There are a multitude of pieces (different sizes/shapes of beads that simply pop together), rings to attach them to as headbands/bracelets & a 3-layer storage case with snap sides and a handle that will store the beads (only) well. I snapped some together for Old Time's Sake and found they worked the way I remember although mine were only round and were larger.There are a number of small items which could be a choking hazard so be sure to limit exposure to kids less than 3yrs.My only suggestions is that the manufacturer make it a 4-layer case so that the extra accessories for bracelets/necklaces/headbands can be stored in there. As it stands, those were simply put inside the box on top of the storage case which negates the full purpose of a storage box.Beyond that, take it from me...Pop Beads are the Best!

These little fun bead sets are perfect for kids, or even a solo kid, but it gives them a lot of opportunity to be super creative, make things for each other, make things for themselves, fun little headbands so many different things that can be done and the fun just won't truly stop. There's so many pieces there's little chance of fighting over the same piece when building something. It's all consistently made of a pretty solid plastic type material so it'll literally last forever...

These are actually pretty big beads- and you just snap them together! This is definitely something that even my 5 year old can put together. Plus, it comes with the cool little headbands and bracelets if you don't want to just use the beads. I know kids love bright colors, to me they look super gaudy, but younger kids love them. I would put them around ages 4-9, perhaps.

The beads can be stored and sorted in a three tray carrying care that can be stacked and secured together. The sturdiness of the case is so-so. I played with my preschool aged grandchildren and my granddaughter decorated the headbands and my grandson liked creating a patterned chain. Plenty of beads to provide creative play for several children simultaneously. Great craft kit for preschoolers. Affordably priced.
