The tools and the bag are made sturdy and they are great for the beach. Just seemed like having to put all this down to pick up one shell was too much for me. The hook is extremely pointy. Be careful.

This is a fun set of tools to use at the beach. Most everyone who walks the beach likes to pick up the interesting stuff they find there.* The shifter tools and mesh bags in this set are great for that activity. The shifter extends to double it's travel size by loosening/tightening the plastic retaining part. Then you simply reach down and scoop up what you find. You can use this at an ocean or freshwater lake. The scoop is not especially a solid spot weld onto the handle - hard to say how long it will stay attached. The hook/gaffe device also extends, but doesn't lock in place. Its quite a large and sharp hook and I'd suggest great care while using, it's not for children... or careless adults. The 2 mesh bags have handles and a fine enough mesh to hold your finds but let sand and water through. * May I suggest you pick up and dispose of trash you find. Also, maybe don't take every shell you find, leave some where you found them. Overall good items at a very reasonable price to add fun to your beach visit.

Okay, to be honest, even if I wasn't reviewing this for Vine, I'd still be crazy impressed. $6 for 4 pieces of stuff??? Where do you even find value like that these days? The sifter and tooth sifter are crazily well made as well. Tough and really strong materials, they've both held up incredibly well after 3 days of sifting through rocky sand without any issues or dents. I'm seriously impressed with this set.
