Dont throw away the plastic tray. Feels like more air is getting through. Great value and go for environment with less waste. To install is fairly straight forward, that notch should fit inside the notch of filter. Its a nice quality piece and it fit with little trouble.

The K&N cabin filter has better air flow and A/C feels colder than OEM filter. I had previously been using the K&N VF2000 cabin filter in my 5th generation 2016 and 2019 Outbacks but the VF2000 does not fit in the newer 6th generation 2025 Outback. The older cabin air filter is too high and deep and did not allow the cabin filter door to be reinstalled.The VF2054 fits the cabin air box well. These filters are less restrictive than OEM and have an electrostatic charge which captures microparticles while providing better airflow. Easy to clean with K&N’s cabin air filter cleaning kit. Filters are well made and long lasting. I suggest putting the provided sticker on the cabin filter door so the service techs know to leave it alone.

Great fit! when you go to install it, there's a little break in the rubber frame to accommodate the plastic fin in the holder it goes in. Took me a sec to realize that.

Price was good and excellent fit for our Subaru Outback great knowing that I don’t have to buy another one. It’s a K&N so don’t have to worry about quality

Got sent the wrong size i was really hopping for a new filter for my cabin but other then rhat i love k&n just who ever is in charge of overseeing fitment is not doing so great of a job i had to send it back will most likely go to autozone for this.

fit perfect in 2018 lexus rx350..do not throw out the stock plastic tray the filter sits in, you need to re-use it. The new k&n will fit perfect in this tray. The pleats have a cut out prevision for it. Much harder blowing ac now!
