'Beautiful, tasty, delicious food that I could eat every day.' Simon Rimmer, Sunday Brunch This unique collection of recipes and stories from Nisha Katona's Mowgli Street Food restaurants brings you the best of their beloved menu, and much more. As seen on BBC2's Top of the Shop with Tom Kerridge , Sunday Brunch , and BBC Radio 4's The Kitchen Cabinet , Nisha unlocks the secrets of her most successful recipes. Discover how to recreate the iconic Angry Bird, the signature flavours of the House Lamb Curry, and of course, the secrets of the taste explosion that are Chat Bombs. Try tempting snacks like the Fenugreek Kissed Fries, spice up your dinner with a whole host of delicious dahls, and indulge in desserts, drinks and cocktails from a Cardamom Custard Tart to a Sweet Delhi Diazepam. From showstopping slaws to the ultimate Aloo Ghobi, Mother Butter Chicken to Calcutta Tangled Greens, each dish truly captures the smash-and-grab zing of Indian food. Review: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Delicious Gift That Keeps on Giving (Calories and Joy) - I bought Mowgli Street Food as a birthday gift for my partner, and now I'm fairly certain I've secured my spot as "Partner of the Year" (or at least "Partner Who Gives the Best Presents"). She absolutely loved it. This book is basically the greatest hits of Nisha Katona's Mowgli restaurants — a greatest tastes album, if you will. It's beautifully put together, full of vibrant photos, easy-to-follow recipes, and the kind of chatty, warm storytelling that makes you feel like Nisha's right there in your kitchen, gently judging your spice levels. We’ve been cooking our way through the book, and so far, everything has been a hit. But the Chat Bombs? Oh. My. Gosh. They're like edible confetti explosions of flavour. If there were a Michelin star for snacks that cause actual household debates over who gets the last one, these would win. The recipes are approachable for beginners but satisfying for more confident cooks too. Expect to build up your spice rack — and possibly your waistline — but it’s 100% worth it. In short: Buy it. Gift it. Cook it. Eat it. And then pretend you came up with the recipes yourself when your friends praise your “authentic Indian street food” skills. I won’t tell. 😉 Review: Bringing the magic of Mowgli home! - A chance visit to Mowgli Street Food in Brighton made me fall in love with the restaurant, so I started following Nisha Katona on Facebook and was delighted to discover that she had produced a cookbook featuring recipes from the restaurants. I love cooking curries, and this book offers something refreshingly different from the norm. The recipes have their own character and are quite unlike many traditional Indian cookbooks, making it a joy to explore. The book itself is beautifully laid out, with stunning photography, stories and background information that make it a pleasure to read as well as cook from. It feels much more personal than simply a collection of recipes. If you've enjoyed eating at Mowgli or are looking for curry recipes that are a little different from the usual, I would highly recommend this book.

Curry book
I enjoyed her vegetarian Mowgli cookbook so I decided to get this one. Tried the Green Dahl with rhubarb so nice. Some of the recipes I will have to adapt as they are not vegetarian ,but so many recipes sound delish.

Amazing flavours - simple to make!
Had been served some of the dishes from this book and have since visited a couple of Mowgli restaurants. This book is incredible. Simple instructions, easy to follow that result in the most sublime dishes. Once you have built a stock of the spices it’s so easy to make the dishes for a dinner party or a mid-week meal. Best Indian food I have tasted, not overly oily or rich, just full of incredible flavours!

Great recipes
I am a big fan of the restaurant and this book does not disappoint. Lots of simple but delicious recipes and a huge selection to try too. So far I’ve stuck to the more simple dishes but everything I have cooked from this book has had a great flavour and also gone done well with dinner guests. Highly recommend

Alleen in Engels verkrijgbaar.
