The mushrooms smell so good right out of the jar. They were cut in pieces and dried. The pieces look intact and almost hand-picked for a best quality cooking. The jar has a label with necessary preparation instructions, nutrition and shelf life information. The production date is stamped on the lid. I prepared the mushrooms according to the instructions, cut them into smaller pieces, then added them to my cabbage soup. The mushrooms cooked in the soup for about 30 min and added a tasty earthiness and nice texture to the prepared product.

I use a lot of dried mushrooms in my cooking. I especially love using them for soups. I saw these (at an incredible price) and figured I would give them a try. I've already ordered 2 more jars because they are absolutely incredible!These come in a plastic jar (that has a beautiful label). The jar is quite full and I'm so impressed that it is ALL pieces! There might have been 1 broken mushrooms, but there were NO little bits and absolutely no dust at the bottom of the jar.These reconstitute well.They have a very soft, silky texture that is meaty but not at all chewy or tough.The flavor is FANTASTIC!These are decadent and buttery, with a touch of earthiness. They are creamy and mellow. These are the tastiest and most flavorful dried mushrooms I've ever had!If you are a fan of mushrooms- GET THESE! You will not be disappointed!
