Attilla the rotavator
I find this little tiller quite versatile,I have only had it a week so perhaps it’s a bit premature. But I am going to stick my neck out and say , perhaps some of the reviews were a bit unfair.I am quite used to using petrol driven machinery , Ihave been using chainsaws and lawnmowers for a number of years . This little rotavator-tiller starts really well , as well as my husqvarna chain saws there has been a little criticism about the stop-start switch it doesn’t look that pretty but it’s functional it works ok .I used it for clearing a grassed area ready for laying some paving stones and it preformed very well , I worked away at it a bit at a time and it saved me a lot of back breaking work . But primarily it is intended for turning over soil and it copes very well with that as well just don’t try to push it to hard , as the old saying goes let the tool do the work .

Disappointed with the purchase
Slight disapointed with my purchase, tried to use this on ready dug clay soil to break it up but found I had to go over the soil 6-7 times. The rotivator is extremely load I would recommend getting a pair of ear plugs. Run time is about a hour but you will more like stop ever 10-15 minutes as it really vibrants your hands. I would recommend getting a 4 stroke so you don't have to mix the fuel. I wish I invested in a more heavy 4 stroke model

Good
Larger, more robust and more powerful than some of this type I have seen.Bought for allotment after many years of using much larger rotavators. Easy to transport, does a good job though it can take time. Will dig quite deep.Uses more fuel than they say, but mine is not the lightest soil. Instructions contradictory about fuel/oil mixture - it runs fine with 25:1I found a couple of the bolts weren’t properly tight and came loose in use So tightened them. VERY gently.Very pleased for the price.

Eckman 2 stroke mini tiller
Have had this tiller for the last two seasons on my allotment. I has worked very well. The switch broke but the manufactuers send me a new one in the post which was incredibly easy to replace. Very happy with this tiller - to date.

It does not start, very weak ignition spark.
Came well packed, early delivery. Problems started from day one, the plug spanner in the tool kit would not remove the plug, the spanner broke. bought a new tool which removed the plug, checked the plug for spark, very weak, the engine will not fire, am writing to the suppliers MD, they so far have ignored my two E-Mails.

works very nicely indeed when know how!!!!!!
easy to assemble and works very nicely, comes with a bigger petrol tank then the one in the image and is very fun to use love ithowever there is one step you guys should know before filling the petrol tank:After assembling the mini-tiller turn the machine upside down. BBetween the tiller blades in the Centre of the machine there is a reservoir clearly marked oil.just undo the big bolt and washer & fill the reservoir with the oil that comes in the package that is where the clutch oil should go after filling in the clutch oil just re-install the washer and big bolt.it is easy to do!!!

Does not break up hard soil
Its great for soil you have already dug over with a fork if you want to use a rotavator to dig the ground instead then spend the extra money and get a heavy duty one this one is very jumpy and puts a stress on the forearm

Small but powerful
Really useful for an allotment as long as you let the machine do the work going forward. When finished pull it backwards for a finer tilth. The area you use MUST be dug over first, this is not a rotavator. Note that the bottle supplied is to add to the petrol, and not in the gearbox as some have suggested
