I bought the Zinus 10 Inch Twin Cooling Essential Memory Foam Mattress for my kids after they outgrew their toddler beds, and it’s been a great upgrade. They found it comfortable right away—soft but still supportive—and they’re actually excited to go to bed now. I also like that it doesn’t trap heat, so they stay comfortable through the night. Setup was quick and easy, and the mattress expanded fully within a day. For the price, it feels like really good quality. Cons: edges are a bit soft, and it may be too plush if you prefer a firmer mattress. Overall: a great, affordable option for parents transitioning kids out of toddler beds!

I bought this mattress expecting a medium feel, but it is definitely more on the firm side. Honestly that worked out perfectly for me because I was actually looking for something firmer. At first it felt a bit hard, but after a few nights I got used to it and now it feels very comfortable. I sleep well, fall asleep quickly, and wake up feeling rested. It gives me the support I was hoping for. The quality is also really good for the price, and I was happy that there was no strong smell when I opened it. I know comfort can be different for everyone, especially when it comes to back support, but for me this mattress has been a great choice. I am really happy with it. I am a 175lbs man standing on it!

I was a little unsure about a 5" mattress, but this one really surprised me. Even though it’s thinner, it feels just as supportive and comfortable as thicker mattresses I’ve owned. It has a slightly firm feel, which I personally prefer, and it holds its shape really well. With some 5" mattresses, you can feel the platform or slats when you sit or lie down but that’s not the case here at all. This one feels solid and well-made, without any sinking or bottoming out. I’ve been sleeping comfortably and wake up feeling well supported. The price is phenomenal for the quality, and it honestly made me rethink traditional mattresses altogether. I’d never go back after this. It’s been a perfect fit for my low-rise platform bed, and I’m very happy with this purchase.

I ordered the Zinus 12-inch King Cooling Comfort Hybrid, and the mattress itself is amazing. It feels high-quality, supportive, and perfectly balanced for anyone who doesn’t like a bed that’s too soft or too firm. It arrived quickly, expanded well, and the comfort exceeded my expectations. My only complaint—and the reason for the 4-star rating—is the delivery experience. I clearly requested that the mattress be placed at the back of my house and leaned against the wall because I’m home with a 4-month-old baby and can’t move something this heavy on my own. I also didn’t want it sitting out front where someone could take it. Despite the instructions, the drivers ignored them and left the large box by the front door on a rainy day. There were two men, and from my camera I could see they had read the instructions and still chose not to follow them. The mattress itself is fantastic, but I really wish the delivery service had been more considerate.

TLDR: I'm really surprised how much we like this mattress. Two thumbs up! I highly recommend it as long as you aren't concerned with non-padded sides. We were moving our child from a toddler bed to their first real bed. The toddler bed was essentially a bed frame with a particleboard base and the Moonlight Slumber Little Dreamer foam mattress. Then I went to the big box hardware store and got a 1/8" piece of plywood to serve as a mattress base. After extensive (ie 10 hours) online searching for a mattress, I decided to go with a 'mattress in a box' instead of a traditional mattress for many reasons. I zeroed in on this Zinus 12" with pocket coils and cooling foam for a few reasons: - Zinus is a known newer brand with a reputation they need to maintain - Sold and shipped by Amazon with the 100-night Amazon return policy backed by the 10-year Zinus warranty - Foam over individually pocketed coils, which we thought would provide the comfort of springs with the foam my child was used to (we bought a much more expensive 'top of the line' solid foam Tuft and Needle cooling mattress for our other child, and honestly after 4 years? meh. Heavy, which makes it hard to change the sheets and worse, it sleeps super hot) - Fiberglass free and claims that they don't use harmful chemicals, OEKO-TEX standards, etc. (I mean, why not if you have a choice?) - Medium firm (similar to the toddler mattress my child liked so much) - Cooling gel (my child is a hot sleeper) - Low price (if my child hates it? Oh well cheap experiment). We bought this in February 2025 and delivery and set up were easy enough. I unfurled the bed in an empty room and within 30 minutes, it was useable, but we left it alone for 5 days. Ever so slight chemical odor that went away after a couple days. My first impressions were that when I moved it, it was light and felt cheap. There are no sides to a 'mattress in a box' and you can feel the springs when you touch the sides. 'Oh well' I thought and proceeded to put it on my child's bed. Seemed really comfortable once you hopped on and were in 'sleeping position'. Easily supports my ~170lbs so it is definitely supportive of my child, who was thrilled with the new bed. Being able to really feel the springs on the side bothered me, but if my kid's happy, that's all that matters. Fast forward 5 months (July 2025) and I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. My child used to wake up ~1am every single night on the old toddler bed and wander into my room. That has only happened 2x in 5 months. My child thinks it's a super comfortable bed. I do as well. I often lay in that bed until my child dozes off. I have messed up shoulders and always experience pain when laying on my sides in my own bed (super fancy Sleep Number with an adjustable base and the remote controls). I'm also a very hot sleeper and in the summer, I will sweat in the Sleep Number. Admittedly, I myself often doze off in this Zinus bed on my side for a couple hours while putting my child to sleep and wake up with no shoulder pain - and I don't wake up sweaty at all. There are no indentations on the bed after 5 months. All that said, I'm super impressed. It's not a premium feeling mattress, but it gets the most important part done - providing a really comfortable surface to get a restful nights sleep. Once my Sleep Number breaks, I'm going to explore Zinus's 'lux' options at that point for my own bed (perhaps a deep Zinus pocket coil spring and cooling foam on top - and put that on the Sleep Number adjustable platform). I'll come back and update if the springs or memory foam start breaking down, it starts sagging/retaining body impressions, has springs coming out the size, etc.

It’s a firm mattress but I knew that going into it and when paired with a memory foam topper it’s perfect for me. I’m a plus sized girlie and this brand came highly recommended. Wait the full 72 hours before you judge its feel. Was slight difficult to unpack alone. My back pain has greatly improved and it doesn’t feel “springy” or cheap

I bought the 12 Inch King Hybrid Cooling Comfort mattress and it has been great! Went from a full size bed and I am in heaven with this king size. I loved that I was able to sleep on it comfortably the first night after it expanded for about 6 hours. I sleep so well and fall asleep so fast in this new bed after only the first two nights. It has improved my quality of life and I am feeling more energy from the good rest I get. Don't waste your money on a pricey mattress and get this bed! To me, it is truly a medium firm mattres it seems; but not too firm. Doesn't make my hips sore. It cradles the body nicely with its memory foam top layer and it's not hot either. I also purchased the king size New Jeto 16 inch bed frame for this bed from Amazon, and it's perfect! ***If this bed gives me trouble after the first 90 days, I will edit my review. For now, this is how I feel after two restful nights!

High quality So smooth Feels stiff to sleep on, super sore the next morning if you’re over 30 🤭 you’ll need to invite all your kids to jump on it to break it in. And add a foam/ puffy mattress topper Value for money

Love this bed. It expanded perfect and is actually way harder than I expected! I thought memory foam would be super soft based on previous products I’ve used. This isn’t rock hard ever like the other foam I have and it isn’t sink in soft. 5/5 would recommend. Also I left it in the box for long time, didn’t see you were supposed to open right away when you receive haha, even tho it doesn’t seem to have impacted the mattress don’t do what I did and open it right away.

Vino muy aguado es de 8 pulgadas de grosor,no me gustó,tuve uno hace tiempo de 6 pulgadas de grosor y me encantó está muy bueno el colchón pero esta vez no me agrado, gracias

Superó mis expectativas

I was uncertain about picking up a Zinus mattress after the [incident], but these new models are much safer and pretty much just look like a regular mattress. I've got an IKEA protector and bedding set on mine, and it outperforms it's price tremendously. Seriously, it looks thin asf, but sleeps better than spring and pocket spring mattresses of several times the price. I have this single mattress and folding bed frame, and while it looks supremely r/malelivingspaces, it saved a fortune and I still can hardly believe how well it works. In Australia, if you have Amazon Business Prime, they even have bulk discounts if you wanna furnish a sharehouse with your friends on a budget.
