This show pushed the boundaries when there was very little LGBT representation in the media...love the full thing even if the last season's story line wasn't my favourite!

my favourite programe is THE L WORD I ALWAYS WATCHED THERE IS NO PROGRAME LIKE L WORDS IS ABOUT GROUP OF LESBIANS LIVIN IN LA THAT IS I AM WAITING FOR SEASON 5 IS RUNING IN USA CURRENTLEY SOON ITS FINSIHED RELEASED ON DVD IN USA SO GO AND BUY the l word season 1-2-3-4- and wait for season 5 dont miss out anything .

Love IT Love IT Love IT Nothing Compares to the L Word... I Can not Understand Why they cant or wont make more TV programmes / Films like this.... Write a story.. and then instead of the tipical man and woman situation... put in two women... that's simple, is it not?!?!?! Why is nearly every Lesbian Movie about comming out... why do we have in endure 2 hours of I might be.. I might not be... Oh My God... I'm dirty... It's Wrong... blah blah blah... Why cant it just start with them being Gay.. and Gettting on with Life...and Living... L Word has Set the Bar for all future Lesbian Screnings.

"You can bend but never break me 'Cause it only serves to make me More determined to achieve my final goal And I come back even stronger" - Helen Reddy " I Am Woman" Season Four is a real test of the acting skill of the cast, and although there are some parts where the writers push the envelope a little too far, the stories are packed with drama, romance, heartbreak, comedy, politics, and yes, of course, it wouldn't be The L-Word without the steamy bits, of which there are many. The music is also exceptionally good this season. Jenny Schecter continues to be the most annoying character ever written, and by the end of the season you'll hope that the tide never brings her back to Season Five. Full kudos must go to Mia Kirshner for playing this hideous role so perfectly. Some characters (Shane, Bette) sink to the lowest of lows only to bounce back and even find love, while others (Helena, Kit) seem stuck with their respective demons. Max (Daniela Sea) is still working "his" way to manhood, while dealing with the loss of a family member, and tough times at work. Alice (Leisha Hailey) continues to be the backbone of the show, and Tina (Laurel Holloman) returns to the fold, but it's the amazing cast of newcomers that add the extra spark to the season. Janina Gavankar heats up the screen as "Papi", a street wise young woman with a list of conquests that leaves even Shane in the dust. There is however, much more to Papi than her tough exterior, and it's a pleasure watching her character develop. There's Cybill Shepherd, who appears as Bette's boss and who's looking forward to moonlighting with the girls' team, but the best of the newcomers is definitely Marlee Matlin as Jodi Lerner, an artist who proves to be Bette's equal in many areas. Good performances are also turned in by Rose Rollins as Tasha, Sandrine Holt as Catherine Rothberg, Annabella Sciorra as Kate Arden, and Kristanna Loken as Paige. Look out also for the unexpected return of two characters from earlier seasons. This season gives the hit show a much needed character boost, and is well worth watching. The only thing that could have been improved was the "extras" section, because there actually weren't any extras or bonus features relating specifically to the show or the characters. I enjoyed this TV series so much that I ordered the series that weren’t yet available in France, just to find out what happens next in the girls’ adventures

I found this season to be riveting. The acting is fantastic and the characters are life-like as you follow them through the story line's obstacles, twists and turns. Highly recommended, especially if there is someone in your life struggling with their sexuality..

I have watched and own the past 3 seasons of 'The L Word' and have preordered the 4th season. I intend to order every season after this, as well. It's historical. Even though, 'The L Word' is not butch/femme, femme/boi, stone butch, soft butch (ETC.) inclusive with the 501's and white t-shirts, it still is lesbian exposure....from the U.S., no less! In my opinion, ANY exposure is better than no exposure. We have a major network willing to deal with the subject of lesbianism. That, in itself, is a MAJOR deal considering the U.S. is sooooo narrow minded when it comes to the subject of sexuality. This is a step further. Every tiny step, eventually, will amount to lots of progress down the road. Probably, I won't see the inclusion of the much varied lesbian community on any network; however, this should not stop us from continuing to pave the path for the preteen lesbians out there who are desperately seeking ANY lesbian role models. The L Word is an asset to our community. Sept. 18, 07 I didn't mention this before, but 'The L Word' has been a great show to watch. I've thoroughly enjoyed each and every episode of each season. I would have loved to have been able to watch a show like this when I was 13! JULY 28, 2008 Well, it was fun while it lasted! I have pre-ordered the 6th and final season of 'The L Word'. I truly believe in my comments and convictions which I had written last year. This series has had a fantastic run, and I'm very sad to see it 'go'. However, it is a very good 'start' for television media corporate executives to see. This series has done very well, and this just goes to show what mainstream audiences wish to view (at times). We all know that the majority of people in society(s) have very varied sexual lives. Straight and married have, since the beginning of time, NOT been the norm. All you have to do is google 'historical sexual lives of _______, and you will find so much information that you will not be able to read it all. Or, google something similar. Just change your words around a bit. I hope we see more series like or similar to 'The L Word' in the very near future.
