Great after rotator cuff surgery
My husband sat shirtless in our recliner for the first two full days after his rotator cuff surgery. The large bolster on his sling made it pretty uncomfortable to try to wear a button up shirt because of the bulk being so much he could only do up 3 buttons and even then half his chest was exposed.I was so happy to find this fully openable shirt. It will work for surgery on either side of the body and has plenty of snaps to keep it closed and look like a regular t-shirt. The material is lightweight, skin friendly, soft and breathable. It's is machine washable and dryer safe on low heat. It is super easy to dress around the large bolster sling. The snaps are tight, so I do have to help him with them but at least he can go out in public now. I am well pleased with this garment and recommend it to anyone looking at surgery. Get a couple in advance so you can rotate them as they need washing. They are not much more than a standard T-shirt and are worth every penny paid making them a great value for anyone with medical needs that nessecitate an easy open design.

Soft, functional and nurse-approved
Bought these for my husband’s open heart surgery. The material is super soft and much more comfortable than a gown. I was surprised at how much the hospital staff loved them. He spent five days before surgery and the nurses all complimented us on how nice the shirts were. What surprised me is that the second day after his CABG, they were completely fine with him wearing the shirts again. The snaps actually allow quicker access than untying a gown and, bonus feature, snaps can be left open here and there for wires, chest tubes, etc to feed out from the abdomen. He could then carry the Holter portable monitor in his shorts pockets which were much more secure for walks, bathroom trips etc. He likes that it doesn’t have to be tied up at the neck. (That knot in the hospital gown started digging into his neck badly when carrying the Holter and was painful.)Yes, the snaps take some help to reattach but totally worth it. If only one side or arm or shoulder is affected, it can snapped together most of the way ahead of time. It launders easily. It also provides a bit of privacy (as much as there can be any sense of privacy in the hospital) by being able to open just what’s needed for the current check or procedure. Nursing doesn’t have to be constantly attending to untied or bunched up gowns. I remember reading some comments about handwashing but I’ve been washing on the delicate cycle and the shirt launders great. I dry in the dryer part way then hang to dry not sure if it’s necessary but it’s how I handle drying of all of my husband’s shirts.Fits generally true to size but I recommend ordering up. My husband’s usually an XLT or 2XLT if a shirt is cut very slim. I ordered the 2XL first for ease of fit and bc I figured he would need extra length. He’s 6’6” and about 220 lbs. The 2XL was fine for abdomen fit (there is fluid gain after surgery) but was a bit short for him. Ordered the next two size 3XL and it’s loose around the middle and longer length. Definitely not a super loose fit.Would be 6 stars if they made the front pocket a bit bigger and did print tags instead of seen in.

Affordable essential for shoulder surgery
Launders well. Lightweight. Works as advertised. Typically wear an XXL-tall. This XXXL fits more like XXL -- wanted something larger/extra room... .... so a 4XL and 5XL would've been ideal. Having said that, the soft, stretchy fabric made it work for torso + snaps -- allow easy access and made the sleeve work-- by keeping some snaps undone-- so it fit around bicep and under arm. Appreciate the POCKET too. Can deal with not being a "tall" as not a lot of movement to come untucked. Good price-point for a temporary need (shoulder surgery)

Nice quality. Super soft.
Our son is being treated for Leukemia. These shirts are a life saver. They give him normalcy, and dignity. With these he can wear normal looking clothes and still be hooked up to an IV. They are super soft. They wash well. Directions said not to dry. However, in the hospital we don’t have many places for clothes to be hang around drying, so I put them in the dryer on low heat. They are holding up well.

A Lifesaver
This very soft TShirt has been a lifesaver for my husband after shoulder replacement. He will be having surgery on the other shoulder soon and we can use the same Tshirts as it snaps on each side. There is no Velcro so it isn’t itchy. His P/T had never seen one. He is tall but not big and the XL fit very comfortably & was long enough to keep his abdomen from showing. Thank you to whomever invented this piece of art!!!!

Shoulder surgery must have!
Buy multiples if you can! I am very pleased with this t-shirt. Bought an XL in two colors and it was perfect to help hubby be dressed and feel comfortable with a light weight shirt under his brace he needs to wear for six weeks. We bought 2 more XXL for a little wiggle room. Length in both sizes are great and he has a long torso. Worth the money for comfort and convenience!

Velcro would be better
We needed a short sleeve shirt for my husband after shoulder surgery. While this concept is good, the snaps are very hard to snap close. We would have liked Velcro closures. My husband cannot manage the snaps with only one hand.
