Jillian Dempsey Lid Tint: Satin Cream Eyeshadow I Easy Application for a Natural Shimmer or a Layered Matte Finish I Glimmer

I ordered the Bronze color, and I love it. I have worn it daily since receiving it. It is very quick and easy to apply and gives a nice, subtle smokey look that is appropriate for daytime/work, enhancing the look of your eyes. There is a bit of sheen to it as well. I didn't find the consistency to be too sticky, but that said I had the expectation that it would be different than the other eye products I have used. Yes, it does crease a bit, but for me it creased less than powder eye shadows and I feel like the slight amount of creasing is part of "the look" of the product. I prefer how this wears on my eyelids compared to a lot of other lid products I've used. It helps to "pat" the product into place intead of rub. It's not highly pigmented, which is perfect for what I wanted. I wanted more subtle color than really vibrant. The color fades a little throughout the day, but the compact itself is so light and the product is so easy and quick to apply that it's easy to do a quick touch up if need be. If you're looking for highly pigmented, saturated color, this probably isn't the product for you. I feel like the color (at least the Bronze I ordered) is meant to enhance the look of your eyes/eye makeup more than stand out itself. If you're looking for something with the traditional consistency of a powder eye shadow, this probably isn't for you. If you're looking for something that doesn't crease at all, this probably isn't for you. For me, it lived up to my expectations, was exactly what I was looking for, and I like it so much I will likely order it another color or two. The price point is a drawback for me, but it's worth the occasional splurge.

Bought this after hearing Kristen Stewart and Monica Padman rave about it on Dax Shepherd's podcast. Looks great at application but doesn't last more than 2 hours without massive creasing. The tint has the consistency of lip balm. I tried wearing it 3 ways: on its own; with primer underneath; and with primer underneath/translucent powder on top. All creased within hours. It is ineligible for return on Amazon otherwise I would have returned it. Complete waste of money.

I was fully prepared to hate this, ordered it anyway. I got the color bronze at first and liked it so much I ordered it in plum as well, for some reason the bronze one stays put a little better because the texture seems less oily (perhaps because it has a bit more shimmer?), in retrospect the colors are close enough when worn that I wouldn’t order both but I like and use them. Yes it creases like a MFer and I have a deep eye crease. But it also does exactly what it says- tint. Despite the creasing, the color lasted longer than I thought it would. I think most of the bad reviews on here were from people expecting a different type of product. This is meant to be worn alone for a sheer wash of healthy color all over the lid, it adds a little dimension to the eyelid area, and the “tint” really did last all day on me. If you think of it as a tinted lip balm for your eyelids rather than an eye shadow, you won’t be disappointed. It keeps my lids hydrated all day without being too sticky. I don’t wear eyeshadow daily so this is the perfect solution. It’s truly no makeup makeup. Yes, it’s expensive for what it is, but the packaging is nice and solid and includes a mirror, very portable. 4 stars for not being amazing but being surprisingly good anyway.

Taupe This eyeshadow enhances eyes in seconds. Pros: sheer, flattering texture, blends easily, unscented, doesn’t transfer, not messy, - Cons: seems pricey, but one light swipe with a brush or finger picks up enough enough pigment for both lids; are too few shades without shimmer, taupe is a much cooler neutral mid-tone brown - Bottom line: Highly recommend for anyone looking for no makeup look, a simplified regimen, or something that works with hooded eyes. I’ve largely given up on eyeshadow (most makeup) because one tiny misstep and I look like Robert Smith and Lucille Ball were velcroed together and hosed down with powdered donuts and olive oil. So, it’s a relief to find a product gets reliably polished results. I’ll try more colors. Tips: 1. Apply over face primer bare skin. Dry or super sticky primers will make blending this impossible. 2. Plan on wearing this tint as your only eyeshadow. Some tightlining and mascara will be fine, but adding anything else on the lids might end up a muddy mess. 3. Ilia and Nudestix are also good cream eyeshadows, but both have different textures than this.

This product goes on VERY sheer and gives oily wet look which is not good for anyone with oily lids. It does fade and transfer VERY quickly for lid tint/shadow unless you have dry skin. It has strong scent kinda floral coconut that might be overpowering for some - the scent could turn awful if the product gets old and the oil has gone rancid. I purchased plum color which looks so pretty on the lids. I have many purple and plum eyeshadows but nothing like this plum. If you purchase this product as a skincare for the eyelids with bonus of color, you will be happy with the purchase.

This product stayed tacky, shifted and creased much quicker than a single eyeshadow at this price should. My lids aren't oily. Didn't try it with a primer as it's so sheer and oily I thought my primer would cloud it up. I wouldn't have spent $28 on this if I had known it wasn't returnable. Since it stays tacky I haven't tried applying powder over it (as in shadow or setting powder). Since i'm stuck with it, I will try the primers and powders even though at this point I'm not sure how to get a powder applied over it. Super fluffy wispy brush? I ordered the plum, it's a subtle pleasing shade. I liked that the color wasn't too cool. It's more interesting outside. I also feel like it's overpriced. Not sure who the target group is that would be ok with their lid color just not hanging in. If you have oily lids, this would be really wrong for you.

I love this eyeshadow — almost eye-gloss texture that makes my lids look fresh and hydrated. I’m middle-aged, and it adds just the right amount of moisture to make my eyelids look dewy and plump instead of dry. The color is light but nicely pigmented — soft, pretty, and easy to wear every day. The texture is a little sticky, which I actually like because it helps it stay put and gives that glossy look, but it might not be for everyone.

This bronze lid tint is subtle, looks beautiful on, and makes my green eyes POP! It has MORE color and LESS glitter than Bobbi Brown's popular golden bronze lidstick, so it's good for older women. I pat this on and build it up 'til I get the color depth I want. It's a bit sticky, but that's what allows you to build the color. For a soft, smokey eye, I line with Bobbi Brown's Cocoa eyeshadow using her thick smokey eyeliner brush. Applied over this eyeshadow, it creates a soft and flattering look as opposed to a Halloween smokey eye. It seems pricey, but it lasts forever, and moisturizes my eyelids! Super easy to remove with makeup remover wipes, too!
