Very powerful sound and easy setup

Amazing sound quality, very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic sound. Crap app. Got the rear speakers and sub. Set up was easy on the app. Then is was useless. The app doesn't hear the mic on my phone. The green dot is there saying the mic is being used yet can't hear it. Ive give five stars because the app isn't the soundbar which is what I'm reviewing. The app needs serious work. As I've googled and been to Sony and it's a big problem.

Huge difference in sound isolation as the sound from my TV was bouncing back to the wall and travelling to my bedroom above the living room. Joy of hollow walls! As for the sound quality, it's amazing for a soundbar, and greatly enhanced every TV show or film watched, great range between highs, mids and lows I'd highly recommend using the BRAVIA Connect app to optimise the settings. The new IMAX Enhanced compatibility update is also here, so I'm looking to add a subwoofer and rear speakers to make use of the full cinema experience.

Not what I expected for the money. Sound quality not what I expected from Sony Disappointed

Much better than TV speakers, not as good as separates, but takes up less space. Limited to just one HDMI in + eArc. Good enough for music but again not up to separates. Doesn’t need a sub but better with one. Doesn’t need satellite surrounds but better with them. Remote control is useless but the app works well.

Fantastic piece of equipment, i've added the other speakers to complete the sony home theater system surround sounds. Produces powerful deep sound designed to make your heart tremble. Feel the bass. It's a lot of money but worth it. We've had it 6 months now and loving it, no need to got to the cinema as we have large sony tv .

The only praise this gets is as a TV speaker when connected to HDMI. The audio quality is fantastic. But for music playback from a device? This has to be one of the worst devices I've ever used. At least once a week, the device disconnects from the app, which is a nightmare to deal with becasue the setup process is useless. To re-connect it to the app, you have to start the whole setup process again, each time has to do a large download, and then you have to go through feet adjustment, soundbar placement and every other stupid thing I've done a hundred times already. Then onto the network settings it takes 5 minutes to adjust wifi settings with a 90% chance it fails. This is such a joke and of a system of this price it's actually disgusting Sony allows such a ridiculous issue to exist. But it's bluetooth right? Just play audio over bluetooth? Well no. Because sony says so. You have to do it in the app and app only because welcome to 2025, where nothing works unless it as an active internet connection. I'm past the return window, unfortunately. But hey, at least the times I get to watch a movie on it at least somewhat reduce the regret I have from dealing with this idiotic connectivity issues. Don't ever buy Sony products.
