A beautiful silk texture
This case is 100% mulberry silk. The color I ordered is a soft grey. Looks beautiful as a silk. It is a very light weight and a very smooth, delicate texture. A real silk pillow case was recommended to me by a hair dresser to help prevent hair breakage. This seems to be exactly what I was looking for.

NOT GENUINE SILK!
Pillowcase is made from synthetic fibers, and is not 100% mulberry silk as stated. Fabric has a very shiny appearance like you find with very nylon or polyester satin, and it does not look or feel like genuine silk. The low price seemed too good to be true, but I took a chance on this because of the number of positive reviews. I don’t know if the manufacturer’s fabric supplier has recently substituted satin for silk, or if customers haven’t actually burn tested this, but the label and description are incorrect. It’s against the law in the U.S. for a manufacturer to incorrectly state the fiber content of fabric items on labeling, so that’s why I’m taking the time to write this review.I clipped a very small piece of fabric (being careful to avoid any stitching threads, since thread would likely be made from or covered in synthetic fibers) from the seam allowance to perform a standard burn test for authenticity. Since genuine silk is a natural fiber, when you burn it, it should always smell faintly like burning hair or burning paper, should produce very little smoke, should burn slowly and the remaining ash should appear grey and crumble very easily into fine, soft dust when pressed between your fingers. This fabric burned quickly (melted, actually), smelled just like burning plastic, produced a surprising amount of smoke for the small size of fabric being burned and it melted into a hard, black “bead” that would not crumble (similar to the way a piece of nylon webbing or rope feels and looks when the end is burned to prevent fraying). These are all telltale signs of synthetic fibers, not genuine silk. This pillowcase is made from some type of nylon or polyester satin, and is incorrectly labeled as silk. Buyer beware. It does appear to be well constructed, the zipper is color matched and works smoothly, the color is just as described, but it’s absolutely NOT silk.

Would buy again:)
The initial smell of them is off putting but after I washed them they are very soft and comfortable to sleep on.

Satin pillowcase
This is a very pretty, soft satin pillowcase. I does not feel like the other silk pillowcases that I own, so IMO this may be a blend of materials. The haze blue color is really pretty. It's a light, greyish blue. The zipper runs smoothly and I haven't had any issues with it.Review of: Mulberry Silk Pillow Case - Pillowcase for Hair and Skin, Haze Blue Silk Pillow Case with Hidden Zipper, Queen Size Single Pack, Gifts for Women Men, 20x30 Inches
