My husband LOVES this paddle!! It's sort of a funny story. I know NOTHING about pickle ball but I ordered this paddle for my husband who plays semi regularly. I decided during prime days to do something for him since he doesn't do anything for himself. I originally saw & was interested in some paddles that were sold in couples. I thought, hey, they're on sale basically two for one; so why not?? But then I started investigating & reading reviews. REVIEWS ARE ESSENTIAL & SO VERY HELPFUL!! I learned that those paddles were basically for beginners or novice players. Upon further review, I found that Selkirk was one of the top brands for experienced players. The first game with the new paddle, he and his partner won, 11-0. He likes the paddle's playability, touch and spin capabilities, and thinks it's a great fit for his game. I've been using the Helix Pro Pickleball Paddle for a few weeks now, and I have to say, it’s been a great addition to my game. Right out of the box, it felt light but sturdy, which is exactly what I was looking for. The grip is comfortable, and I haven't had any issues with it slipping during play.

Great paddle for the price! This is a good beginners paddle- it’s lightweight, with a mix of control and some speed.

Good paddle for a beginner. Solid and decent sweet spot. Next purchase will have no edge. Nothing grippy about it for spin and other trick moves. A wee bit heavy for a woman. I think I could have done better purchasing a different paddle for less money. It really is over priced.

Started PB about a year ago with a Dick's package set. Sometimes used a Selkirk loaner at the court. After some time off (life intrudes) we went back to an inside court. I could really feel my cheapskate paddle, so I bought this online for about 1/2 of retail.Got to try it out last week - feels great, even though I still have a weak backhand. My forehand is stronger than I remember, and I am sometimes able to put a decent spin on the ball.Still a Beginner, but my control is Much Better with this paddle. Hope that continues to improve.

My first paddle when I began playing pickleball. Great starting paddle.

It's really solid on paper. The downfall is it has a very short handle and the grit is not the greatest. I also question whether this is carbon fiber or just fiberglass with spray on it. Who knows. For the price its definitely decent. I feel like the really good paddles seem to start around $100.

I ordered a SLK Helix Pro Pickleball paddle on November 23/24 and just received it today January 10/25 due to the Canada Post strike. I spoke with an Amazon supervisor he was not very helpful and basically told me to take a refund telling me it was lost and stopped the tracking process. I contacted DERINY Store and they were excellent and kept me informed on my package and assured me it was on its way but because of the strike there was a backlog at customs. They were very patient with me as I was frustrated with Amazon and the situation. I got my paddle and believe me it was worth the wait, I love it!
