I rarely write reviews, but when a product is this high integrity, I feel that the company earns it. It’s difficult as a consumer to filter through the sea of noise and claims, so I’m pleased to share that this is an ultra high efficacy product that uses the best ingredients: organic mushrooms from Canada. Cordyceps are excellent for energy, stamina, and vitality.

Formula changed. I previously bought this product specifically because it was alcohol-free (it was vegetable glycerin-based). I didn’t realize that claim was no longer in the description and will be returning the new bottle. It tastes like rubbing alcohol and isn’t worth the price any longer.

I’m impressed with the quality of the Rainbo Cordyceps Mushroom Tincture and their products in general; I’ve had the opportunity to try a number of them. The tincture is delivered in an opaque glass vial. The Cordyceps Mushroom supplement’s bioactive compounds are extracted through and held in an ethyl alcohol base, that in my experience provides the greatest efficacy, especially when administered sublingually. I’ve been a devotee of natural medicine for many years. Although I have no formal education in the disciplines of naturopathic medicine, its modalities have always been of keen interest to me, as is staying away from doctors. As such, I have been making my own tinctures for many years and have always used an alcohol base in accordance with the methodologies I’ve studied. Another important factor in choosing herbal and mushroom supplements is determining a trustworthy source. Herbs and mushrooms used for supplemental and medicinal purposes are not cultivated or harvested in the same manner as those used for culinary purposes. For instance, medicinal herbs may sometimes best be harvested during a full moon, when its gravity has pulled important constituents up from the roots and into the leaves and other harvestable offshoots, allowing for the greatest potency when extracted. A Perusal of the Rainbo website (Rainbo.com) reveals that they are a B Lab certified corporation, a company recognized for its positive social impact. They specialize in non-GMO derived supplements from the fruity body of mushrooms, in accordance with good practice harvesting. Their products are third party tested, 100% traceable and made in Canada, our trusted neighbor, assuming you live in the US. It is my opinion, after writing many reviews, that often times our trust is taken advantage of by some countries from whom we import. That being the case, it’s important to perform your own due diligence. Rainbo is also a climate neutral company. Cordyceps is a genus of parasitic fungi that grows on the larvae of insects. When they attack their host, they replace its tissue and sprout long, slender stems that grow outside of the host’s body. The remains of the insect along with the Cordyceps have been hand-collected, dried, and used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries to treat fatigue, sickness, kidney disease and low sex drive. They are loaded with antioxidants and as such, support the seller’s assertions of libido and immune system support, increased strength and longer endurance. Cordyceps are, like many other mushrooms, an adaptogen; adaptogens help the body deal with stress. There are many other health benefits thought to be associated with the use of Cordyceps mushrooms that are well worth researching. In general, research on the web aligns with those benefits claimed by the seller. Since Rainbo’s Cordyceps Mushroom Tincture is supplied in an alcohol base (mixed with water), taking it straight, orally, is very much like putting a dropper full of vodka in your mouth, or in my case, under the tongue. Rainbo suggests mixing it with water or a beverage of your choice. The recommended dosage is 4ml twice per day. The included bulb will draw 1/2 ml into the attached pipette per squeeze, which means you will be doing those eight times, twice per day if you’re taking the recommended dosage; 4ml is a little over 3/4 of a teaspoon for reference. I just do all eight squeezes into a tablespoon, then take the tincture sublingually from it.

I have tried 3 other cordyceps supplements from other companies. They honestly did nothing for me so why I decided to order this... I'm not too sure. BUT I'm grateful that I did because WOW! It impressed me. Usually when the packaging is really beautiful... it seems the actual product itself is somewhat lacking. BUT not this time. The bottle is the prettiest supplement bottle I've ever seen. The product itself... is incredible. So I have MTHFR gene variants (meaning my body doesn't detox properly.) Every once in awhile... I find a product that actually gives me energy but it lasts from days to a couple of weeks and then it stops working. This product gave me the most amount of energy I've had in YEARS... but only for 3 days. I am lucky if I can get the energy to workout for 20 minutes 3 days a week. But with this stuff... I worked out HARD for 1 hour a day 3 days in a row. It was incredible! It stopped working after that. But I would happily pay the price of this supplement for those 3 days of energy. It reminded me of the movie Limitless. I got so many things done on my to do list. Things that I'd been putting off for months. It doesn't taste very good but I just put a whole dropper full in a cup and put a little bit of water in it and gulp it down in one gulp. It's over quickly and doesn't leave a lingering taste in your mouth at all so it's not that bad. The suggested dose is half a dropper full twice a day but I just took it all in one go. I had to get my mom to try it since I loved it so much but it didn't do anything for her, sadly. I know everyones body is different but I think this supplement is definitely worth trying.

This Rainbo brand mushroom tincture is legit. The bottle, the cap, the branding, and the quality is stellar. Mushrooms seem to be gaining a lot of traction in the supplement world, and for good reason, which is why I’ve always wanted to try them. This particular one is made from cordyceps mushrooms and the mushrooms are cultivated in Canada. They use the fruiting body, which means the mushrooms are at a stage where they are the most concentrated. They are manufactured in a quality-controlled GMP and FDA compliant facility. The serving size listed on the Supplement Facts labels states that it has (25) 4 mL servings. The bottle label directions say to take 4 mL twice per day, and the directions from a graphic in the listing say to take 4 mL once per day. Which is it? That means the bottle lasts less than two weeks, or it lasts 25 days. This is an important distinction that needs to be cleared up.

I like most everything about this Rainbo Cordyceps tinture except the $40 price for 3.4 oz. However, dual extraction takes more time than single extraction and I'm reasonably sure Canadians are paid a livable wage, so the cost could be justified that way. The coryceps tincture uses dual extraction, meaning they use water, then alcohol. This allows all the beneficial parts to be extracted as some are water soluble, other are alcohol soluble. While this claim is listed in the ad title, it should also be on the label. It is not. The product comes in a white glass bottle that should effectively block any damage from light. I received it in April of 2024, and the expiration date is Nov 2026, although being 30% alcohol, it may stay potent beyond that date. The only way I could think to make this product better would be if they used and disclosed 3rd party testing and used organic mushrooms.

I have taken mushroom pills for digestion in the past and I noticed the benefits. That is why I decided to try this mushroom tincture. The add says that it has a strong taste similar to spirits. On the actual bottle back it says it has 30% alcohol. You can definitely taste it.

2 Stars because the bottle I received was only about 2/3 full. I’m sure it was probably just a mishap and unintentional. That being said, high quality product. I have tried several different brands of cordyceps and this is in the top 3 for quality and taste. However, because of the low quantity I received, I will not be ordering again.
