If you just want yo have a permanent match for bragging rights, buy a nice solid metal one. These are way more to the direct and be functional route. No frills, just works. Recommend.

Steel keeps falling out of slot, fluid leaks and will not light. Cheap Chinese crap.

Briliant product although i had one with a defect in the cap. Good weight as expected, no leakage, easy to use although can take a couple strikes to light for the first time to remove protective coating. Overall great value

Not really what I expected, I think these may work in an emergency situation, but in no way are they convenient for someone who smokes. Takes ages to get a spark but you do get one once the wet fuel evaporates if you keep striking the magnesium strip over and over. Plus the rubber seal immediately failed on the first one I tried. I will amend this review if the others perform better. I expected better, it's just a very cheap plastic product that feels like it may set my hand on fire if It strike too hard, you live and learn✌️

Really good value

I did not have high hopes for the individual units to last very long but 2 of them fell apart on unpacking. The packaging was plain and each unit was in its own thin plastic sleeves. As for the units themselves, the 2 that fell apart there was a severe crack that caused the flint rod and strike plate to fall out and there was no chance of getting them to stay or even fluid staying in those units and this couldn't have happened in transit as the packaging for the others and the outer box was fine, Faulty unit in a bulk batch for a product that is mid to low quality to start with so no harm no foul. The ones that survived were simple to use, though also had individual faults. The screw caps for the flint rod opened easily, though the O-ring that stops the contents leaking didn't come away with the flint rod most of the time so you had to stop it falling into the reservoir. The wick allowed for a great burn when ignited, but it burned to wishful threads after 6-10 uses, tweezing it out of the rod was hard and loosened the flint so I didn't fuss with that to long. The striker plate along the side of the unit was easy enough to use, though word of advice strike downwards, if you pull up towards the top of the open reservoir and there is the slightest trace of fluid from filling it or the wick dripping it will ignite the outside of the unit in a cute flash; Fortunately you just smother the unit between your palms and the fire goes out. The only thing that I couldn't really fault was the key chain attachment, it did what it was supposed to. All in all I got some good use out of this product, I would not recommend buying it in place of a zippo or refillable bic lighter but this is a great novelty item for infrequent use, say an office item or spare in your car sort of deal. If I could easily replace the wick this would be a 4 star for sure.

I have 1, but I broke the flint in the wick holder. I cannot find anyone who makes these flints to replace the broken 1. Now, I have 5 more. I'll be ok!

These are probably the most dangerous pieces of junk from China in all of history. When you try to strike them they don't lite. And the keyrings break off bc these things are made of the cheapest and weakest plastic you can imagine. It basically holds no fuel. And you will tear up your hands trying to get this piece of junk to light or even make a spark once. Biggest piece of junk I've ever seen. And dangerous. It's hard to get the flame to go out from the actual striking mechanism not the wick. Dangerous as heck.

wont light if the flint is wet and after the 30th attempt when it finally does light the string wic burns up very fast! 0/10 just stay with a zippo lighter
