I am so happy with this item. I did some research comparing this to other brands and am so glad I decided on this one. Cheaper than the others, but works amazing. I’m 7 weeks in and the hair growth has slowed significantly, with my legs almost completely smooth. Definitely worth investing in this.

I bought Pure Adapt IPL in February and I started to use it once a week with speed-mode and April after maximum of 6-7 uses I noticed burnt spots on the inner walls of the flash bulb, where the plastic is seen. One side has a big burnt spot, other side has a smaller one and very small spots on the edge of the head which don’t come off even if cleaned. It doesn’t seem okey and I don’t know if I can keep using my device. Also, I wrote repeatedly to the customer support and I haven't got the answer back in 2 months, so I feel completely ignored and suspect it is a scam. I don't recommend this product.

I think this is a clever hair remover. What seems to differentiate this from others are the spring loaded sides on the front of the laser. This means they retract or come out as you move the device around, making sure that he laser hits the skin and doesn't leak out of the sides. I've made a video of how it works. Currently I'm trialling it on my hobbit feet before moving onwards. I've had no adverse reaction. It didn't hurt me either. I've only been using it for a short time but the return of the hair is already slower. You have to shave the area first then use the device. I have dark hair and light skin which works best on these devices. The device is really smart. It has a bar along the side that tells you how effective and powerful the laser will be. If it's red it is telling you it won't work and won't fire. You move it around so it has a good connection and then it triggers. You can set it to a gentle mode for more sensitive areas, or put it on continuous and drag it around like a laser for bigger areas like arms or legs. Or just place it where you like and press the top button. I also particularly like the fact this is a British product and manufactured here too. Well done team! My wife has a hair remover but this is in a different league. It's very nicely made, works for me, and I like the ease and cleverness of the operation. I received this free of charge to review as part of the Vine Programme. Would I spend my own money on it? I would. Good design, made here, well thought through. A very good product.

I did a lot of research before buying this. It appeared to work great initially - and was very effective at reducing hair regrowth. But after 7 months it stopped working. Amazon were great at arranging return and refund though. These are expensive items and you can’t just write them off after such a short period.

I am reviewing Smoothskin Pure Adapt IPL Laser Hair Removal Device for Women & Men, Pure Fit Upgrade; Long-Lasting, for Body & Face, Alternative to Laser (Grey) Just not sure about this. First of all it is powered by electric cable which is odd and makes it very difficult for me to use comfortably and safely. I live in a very old house and it is not convenient to plug this in anywhere I want to use it. I don't want to use an extension lead. Weirdly you can't switch it off. You have to unplug it. That's not very convenient and for the price point this is a huge negative. Then it isn't really suitable for me for medical reasons so I have not been able to use it properly to test it yet. And I do worry that once I start using it I will have to continue forever. And I am going grey so a lot of my hair is now silver and not suitable for this device because it doesnt contain enough melatonin. It's expensive £299 when ordered and now its £269. My plan is to gift it to a neice and see how she gets on with it and update later, but right now I have some concerns.

I am still in the early stages of treatment but have already observed a significant decrease in hair over the weeks I have been using this device. Could be pricey for some though cannot deny that a bit eye watering.
