HIC Kitchen Rectangular Individual Lasagna Pan with Handles, Fine White Porcelain

I ordered this 9x13" white baking dish based on all the positive reviews, especially for it's use in countertop convection ovens. I've been searching for a year for a 9x13 outside dimension baking dish for my Hamilton Beach Countertop Convection Oven (see my review on this oven). Most 9x13's do not include the handle measurements which means it won't fit inside my countertop oven. Therefore, it was necessary for me to bake my lasagna and sheet cakes in a smaller baking dish. When I read the reviews for this 9x13, I immediately placed an order. I am very pleased with this ceramic baking dish. It fits perfectly inside my countertop oven. The added benefit is that, because it has a lovely glazed interior, there are no sticking problems. The food came out easily and in one piece. Washing was a breeze. Bing, Bang, Bong...clean! I wish other manufacturers would take the hint and offer a 9x13 without handles. This piece is sturdy and well made, yet is not one of those hefty heavy weights so I, a humble and weak human with arthritis, had absolutely no problems removing it from my oven and turning the contents onto a platter. Of course, you could use this as a serving dish. It is a beautiful pure white color which compliments food. Price was great, I didn't have to drive around the state searching for it and it was an easy peasy purchase for me. I love Amazon.com

I purchased this pan to use in a Breville oven. It fits quite nicely in both the BOV900 and BOV8xx ovens. It is also a really nicely made pan. That being said, there are three things that one should be aware of that are not clear from the product information: The first, and most important, is the actual pan dimensions. This is *NOT* at 13" x 9" pan. The actual pan dimensions are 11" x 7.5" at the bottom and 12" x 8.75" at the top. These are inside dimensions which are, after all, the ones that matter the most. The depth of the pan is 2.25". The wall thickness is not too high (the outer measurement along the 12" axis is 12.625", and that's measuring the somewhat thicker lip of the pan. If you're looking for a true 13" x 9" x 2.5" pan, as advertised, this is not the pan for you. If you're looking for something close that can be used in a Breville BOV8xx series oven, this is not a bad choice as the BOV8xx won't take a true 13" x 9" pan. Secondly, the pan is entitled, in part, "Fine White Porcelain". It does have a white glaze and it is some sort of vitrified material that varies from white to off-white, but comparing it to some actual fine porcelain, it's not really clear that the title is accurate. That being said, it does function as a stoneware pan and that's what really matters in this case. Finally, for some reason the importer seems to believe that the pan needs some stickers. The one on the back isn't really an issue as it and its glue washes off quite nicely with soap and water. The one that's pasted on the inside of the pan, however, is a different story. You will need a scraper and some denatured alcohol to dispose of that sticker (amazon sells both: B00002X1ZX and B002MBX2QE, respectively). In summary, this is a good pan for the price that seems to work quite well in the larger Breville ovens.

Prior to this, I had never purchased bakeware before. I thought it would be a good idea to obviously have some type of baking dish, especially now that I'm living on my own and need to eat in order to live, lol. So after reading the reviews, I took a chance on buying this and for the price, you really can't beat it. The quality is wonderful. It has a nice look and feel to it, not too heavy at all. I wish I got the version of this dish with the handles, but it's honestly no big deal. Just a few days ago I finally got around to testing this dish out, making boneless country style ribs. The ribs came out great, btw, lol. (nice, juicy and tender. full of flavor!) By the time the dish was empty, it looked like it was done for, even though nothing got burned! So after twice soaking it in some HOT water, and then using some mild Dr. Bronner's soap and a soft dish towel, my dish looked good as new. All the debris came off so effortlessly, no burned/stained spots or anything. I was very much impressed. This experience definitely encouraged me to continue using my dish and continue learning how to cook as well. I hope this helps anyone looking to purchase a very affordable, yet quality piece of cook/bakeware.

I have to admit that even though it measures exactly as described this pan seemed extremely small when I received it and I thought I might have wasted my money. Then I tried microwaving a baked potato in it and covered it with a rectangular Pyrex lid and it worked better than anything I've ever used. The handles make this so easy and convenient to grip. I find the size ideal for baking turkey cutlets, fish and chicken and you don't even need to spray the pan. I also like how easily it cleans up. This makes a great multi-purpose cooking pan especially for people cooking for just one or two people. Called a lasagna pan this seems great for thawing and warming up a piece of leftover lasagna and I think you will find this pan really versatile. You get a high quality pan at a totally reasonable price- highly recommended.

Just received on time. I like the dish. It's hefty without being too heavy. I bought this version WHICH HAS NO HANDLES on purpose, because from other owners comments, I thought it might fit my counter top convection toaster oven (a Black and Decker similar to the newer CTO6335S). It fits perfectly into the shallow aluminum baking tray that comes with the oven, so I now have a secure grip mounted down low for great stability. Simply put the baking dish into the baking tray and slide it into the toaster oven (or regular oven, because a secure grip is desirable anywhere). I have two problems, one solved already. The manufacturer applies a cheap paper label inside the dish with a very hard glue. I had to scrap the label off in pieces and soak in warm soapy water for an hour, then use a nylon scrubber. The second is tougher. The bottom of the dish is unglazed, but mine came with small chip of ceramic waste fused to the dish, which will interfere with it sitting flat on a smooth surface. I will have to attempt to remove with a diamond file. I wish the manufacturing conditions were kept a bit cleaner. So minus one star.

I purchased two of these HIC Oblong Rectangular Baking Dishes, they are just what I needed. They arrived quickly, well packed and in pristine condition. I love the clean lines - with no handles, as other reviewers have noted they fit perfectly in the Breville counter top oven, a bonus! Easy to hand wash or place in the dishwasher -- they wash up like they are brand new each time. Great for casserole recipes, cakes, baked or roasted chicken or fish, etc. The first thing I made was a batch of 12 baked jumbo meatballs (actually individual meatloaves -- using both pans in my regular oven.) It is one of 'smittenkitchen's' best recipes-- as voted by my family! Delicious. You can find the simple recipe on her website: smittenkitchen.com and enter "Tomato-Glazed Meatloaves". I'm convinced the pans helped make them bake up perfectly! ;-) Great purchase.

This pan went beyond expectations! It is a perfect size for the Puck oven, microwave, & toaster oven( if it will take a 13" pan). It is lighter in weight than expected which is a plus (since I have arthritic hands). I think it is lighter (or at least as light) per square inch than/as my French white Corning ware. My husband says that I must really like this pan because I've used it everyday since I received it! Very versatile. I split in half a pre-cooked chicken from the grocery store, the halves fit perfectly, and they heated up quickly. The heat transfer rate is good. You don't have to add time for the pan to heat before the food starts to cook as with heavier porcelain. For example, I made a French toast casserole. It baked evenly and in the same time as my regular oven in a metal non-stick pan. I can't say enough nice thing about this pan, but I'll try. The sides have a very slight flare but it is enough to let you have a nice grip on the pan. Another plus - NO handles to get in the way. You have a true 13" pan! The underside is not glazed which is good because it doesn't slip & slide and helps in even heat transfer. The other surfaces are glazed and don't react to anything acidic & make for easy clean-up. Even baked-on food comes off easily. I would not use a "scrubbie" on it so as not it impart micro scratches will affect the ease of cleaning. Just fill with water and let sit for a while if you have something a little stubborn. I am not sure about the dishwasher or soaking in a pan of water because of the unglazed bottom, and can't remember if the manufacturer said it was dishwasher safe. I use mine so much it doesn't get a chance to do either!! Lastly, it was impressively well packaged so it came without any damage and within the time frame expected. I haven't dropped it (yet), so I can't remark on fragility, but in spite of all the use it has had, it looks brand new.

We bought this to fit in a Ninja Air fryer and it fits nicely. It is large enough to make a casserole for four in the air fryer. It is not cheaply made and has some heft to it. It's easy to clean after a soak and can be stored in the air fryer. We recommend this for all around use in the oven and the air fryer.

I love this lasagna pan, I cook for one person, myself, so it is easier to prepare when I have the proper size dish for one. It seems like it is good quality and after use, it is easy to clean.

These pans are great for lasagna, enchiladas, vegetables and more. Beautiful, durable and easy to clean. Great product.

perfect size, perfect cooking, and easy to clean

A really good looking and well sized dish, delivered almost immediately!! The only reason it has been given 4 stars instead of five is that it is rather heavy; I need to find a cabinet for it that is not above the fridge.
