I love this mat and I have found it to be ...
I love this mat and I have found it to be the best non-slip mat I've used for my sweaty hands. But what is up with the name? I understand Lhotse is the name of the fourth highest peak in the world and that's a cool thing to name your company after, but why put an X on the end? I've had multiple comments about my yoga mat saying "HOTSEX" on it. The name is a bit dumb, just name it Lhotse, or something else entirely.

the yoga mat itself is pretty great, the colors are nice
I've used the mat a few times for yoga and Pilates; the yoga mat itself is pretty great, the colors are nice, no slipping, great thickness and no funky smell. However it's a bit difficult to get the mat back inside the black carrying bag it came in, but it also came with a strap you can simply tie onto the mat which works well. Overall, I was satisfied with the purchase, especially for the price.

The mat is nice, no stretch
Mine only had the mountain as a logo printed on the front. No "LHOTSEX". I almost stopped my order when I read another review about the "embarasing logo" but decided to laugh it off. The packaging all says LHOTSEE. The mat is nice, no stretch, no bad smell, no dents from packaging, lays flat, no slip. good cushion, nice color, light. Came with thin carrying strap and black no logo bag.

like if you take it to hot yoga
You'll still slip if you sweat a lot on this, like if you take it to hot yoga. But I'm a guy and I sweat a LOT. A typical girl or a guy who doesn't sweat much, this will be perfect. But even considering that this mat is awesome. Love how thick the padding is- real thin mats hurt my wrists.

Good deal! Not so great if you sweat..
I purchased this yoga mat because it came with a yoga mat bag and a rope to hold the mat when not in use. It was a good deal for all 3 items. I also liked that there were two sides and it came in a lot of colors (I chose the purple one). The mat is decently thick--I use it on my wood floors and it has a good thickness so I don't get hurt. I knocked a couple stars because the mat is slippery and shows sweat really clearly. I found that if I was sweating while doing yoga my hands would slip forward on the mat. I would not recommend using this for hot yoga or if you sweat a lot. Also, the mat clearly shows any signs of sweat even on the purple side which is darker. It does smell pretty unpleasant as well but I'm guessing the smell should dissipate with more use.

Absolutely recommend this product.
I love this Yoga Mat! The color I bought is purple and it looks nice. The material is not hard. I feel very comfortable when doing core exercise on it. I bought this Yoga Mat not for doing Yoga but for doing core exercise at home. I found it very useful and I don't need to go to gym every day now. With two dumb bells and this Yoga Mat, I can achieve similar exercise volume. I will recommend this product.

Great mat!
My old yoga mat was very old, so I need a new one. I want a durable, comfortable, inexpensive yoga mat. I found this mat. The packaging was wonderful my mat came without any harsh smells, dents, or lumps. It is lighter than I expected, and it is good, and very comfortable. It has a beautiful color. My daughter likes it too. I recommend this yoga mat.

Maybe they changed the product? HARD
What a horrible disappointment! After so much research, I was sure I was in for delight when my mat arrived. I buy from Amazon often (after solid research, mostly in customer reviews) and have not had this kind of negative product experience. The mat arrived in a timely manner and was well-packaged. It was in a mat bag and included a string/strap. When I unrolled it, I didn't notice an odor like others had described, and I have an extremely sensitive olfactory sense. Thus far, I was glad. But then...I noted that the mat was thin and hard. I put it on the floor and it kept curling back up, so I flipped it over and it still kept curling up, so I laid on it to pin it down. Thinking maybe it would need time to lay flat, I then rethought it, as the carrying bag does indicate it's deigned as a mat to be carried to classes, etc., and probably should be able to be used pretty promptly. Anyway, it was HARD. I laid on my side and my hips actually hurt very much (they don't normally hurt), so I laid on my back. After about 30 seconds I felt something bad happen with my hips and they hurt like a mother hen. Let me qualify that none of this happens when I lie down on my regular floor rug, lined with rug mat, over hardwood (I'm 44, slender, fit-ish).I was at first thankful that the embarrassing "Lhotsex" word wasn't emblazoned on the mat like others had to deal with, but then I wondered why it wasn't. Is it a different mat? Also, the box doesn't say "Lhotsex", but "Lhotsee", with an "E" on the end instead of an "X". I don't believe this can be the same mat I intended to order based on the reviews I read, but in order to return it I will have to pay shipping almost as much as the mat itself, so I feel it is just a giant waste. I have been mulling over getting a mat for 2 years, and this is the culmination. Bummer for me. Wasted money, and back to square one in my search.
