great handles, seems non-stick, but not PTFE-free (perhaps a health issue down the road).
I contacted the manufacturer about this coating not being PTFE free with no response. I will explain that next but first:1 - The saucepan handle and top handle on the glass top are perfect - staying cool with a nice feel.2 - The coating seems to work well and over time I can update this if the coating breaks down.3 - While PFOA/PFOS free there is a lot of debate about this coating being safe. Sensarte says yes but others disagree. The fact that there is debate concerns me as in the future that means it is likely to be found out to be a problem. Certainly if the coating cracks then the pan will need to be tossed.4 - For now my primary frying pan will be ceramic though (that is PTFE-free) and use these saucepans for making rice mostly (cooking at a lower temp).

Agree with all 5 star reviews, but have to ad my input on those complaining of loose handles. I purchase a set of two and the first handle was loose after putting it on. But when I began to put the handle on the second one I saw my error as I missed the tiny washer on the screw and it had fallen to the floor without my noticing. Found it, fixed it and couldn't be happier with this cookware.

Great pans - and I finally get the reason for proper care of the cookware....
These pans have been absolutely fantastic- especially considering the price. I FINALLY decided it was time to replace the 40 year old hand-me-downs that were in terrible shape. I read over the pamphlet that came with the pots about care and use... and realized that I have probably been extremely rough on my pots and pans (and lazy too). I told my husband that we are going to treat these like the pamphlet recommends. They have been so easy to care for- with just a little extra effort (compared to my non-existent effort before, hahaha). They heat up evenly on our glass top stove. They really are non-stick, especially if your do the recommended wipe with a tiny bit of oil/butter with a paper towel. I am hand washing them- but I feel that they would be fine in the dishwasher. I love the handle- no heat transfer that I have noticed. I am very happy with the upgrade! ( :
