Love this thing, I bought it for my wife’s 2016 Chevy Tahoe and it’s been great!! As soon as it arrived I installed it and we took a trip from Oklahoma to Louisiana and then to Texas and back home. We averaged between 20-23mpg while on the trip and it ran great, no shifting trouble or anything. As far as my mpg’s before I installed it, it was about the same, maybe a little better(1mpg if that) but I like staying in v8 mode. So far it’s been great. It’s very easy to install, just plug it in and your set, and it hasn’t affected my battery at all. I think it’s a really good value and I’ve recommended it to several people.

The unit arrived the day after it was ordered. It was an incredibly easy installation. Just plug it in! Took a test drive shortly after installing. The truck performed much better than before. Good acceleration and throttle response, smooth up and down shifting. Stayed in V8 mode the entire time. Looking forward to the long term benefits.

It took longer to open the box than to plug in the disabler and start protecting my 2016 chevy truck 5.3L engine. Prior to installation, I could monitor the number of times my engine was switching from 8 cylinder to 4 cylinder (it was often) and now it is completely locked into 8 cylinder. It's easy to use and nothing to think about now. No manual transmission shift to block the AFM system from working. Just put the truck in Drive and go. Less than $200 spent to potentially save $5000+. A good investment in my book. I don't drive the truck everyday so I don't know the full impact of gas mileage yet but a slight loss in mpg is expected going to full time 8 cylinder.

I have a 2012 Yukon and this AFM disabler works great! It was easy to install and has no drain on the battery. It gives my truck the full power that should have never been taken away to begin with! Didn’t even know this product was a thing until I went from a 2000 Tahoe to a 2012 Yukon and while casually talking to my mechanic i mentioned that they both had a v8 but the yukon didn’t have the same getty-up as the hoe! So easy to install and gets the job done. I heard too many negative comments on the Active Fuel Management (AFM), on GM V8 engines. The probability of Catastrophic engine failures was enough for me to install disabler. I also didn't like the sound my engine would make when shift from 8 to 4 cylinders. I have no complaints as everything seems to work fine. My gas mileage isn't better or worse. I still believe this was the best choice. .

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this product over others because it is American made so I know the quality is there. It also does not drain your battery so there is no need to ever unplug it. It does exactly as advertised. I have been experiencing a very rough idle, throttle lag, and when stopped at a light the rpms would suddenly plummet (as if it was going to stall). I plugged it in and all that went away. Keep in mind, if your lifter(s) and cam are already damaged this device wont reverse it. What happens when 4 cylinders are shut down is the rollers are able to twist and get jammed which can damage lifters and cam. The entire AFM system is ridiculous and needs to be discontinued. For now, at least we have Max Cylinder AFM/DFM Disabler!

Works flawless on my 2018 Silverado. No battery drain at all. Highly recommend.
