La Savonnerie Bourbonnaise shaving soap is made in a small cottage in Auvergne, south-central France, and rendered in the ancient method of cold saponification. No additives or preservatives are used, and the soap is made with ingredients coming from local organic farming. The soap is cured for six weeks, and no palm oil or derivatives or beef tallow are used. The scent here is a truly authentic vetiver with eucalyptus combination. The soap is approximately 62mm wide and weighs approximately 65 grams. Like any soap employing sodium hydroxide rather than potassium hydroxide, the stability of the foam is more difficult to achieve - but here you will be able to do so with practice, and enjoy some great advantages of moisture and closeness of shave. Contains olea europea fruit oil, aqua, cocos nucifera oil, butyrospermum parkii butter, sodium hydroxyde, ricinus communis seed oil, vetiveria zizanoide oil, eucalyptus globulus oil, indigofera suffruticosa extract, and limonene. Hand made in south-central France.

Doesn't lather as much as I like, but still works nicely
Really effective shaving soap. I usually get shaving bumps on my neck beard area when using regular shave cream, but this stuff really helps that and doesn't leave skin too dry. Doesn't lather as much as I like, but still works nicely.

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money. There is nothing French about this soap but maybe the name, and its questionable. Hard to lather and no vetiver scent. Bright side though, can be used as a hockey puck
