Great book. I've read many books about franchising that are good and some not so good. But this book really gets to the heart of the matter and captures all the view points from all of the angles I've also read professor Edgers books on Multi Unit Leadership and they are also excellent. Professor edger is an author to look out for

Drier than a nuns proverbial.This text took me back 20 years to when I was studying text for an Accountancy Degree.Basically Common sense with references.Not great at all.

A great read, whether you're looking at this as a franchisee or franchisor. Clear, well explained ideas throughout the book and a genuine pleasure to read. If you are looking into franchising, from either side of the fence, then this book is an essential part of your research and I would highly recommend it.

This book was extremely helpful to me when I was completing my MBA dissertation on CSFs in franchising. It provides a useful roadmap of some of the key readings in this field of study, particularly useful if you are new to it. I found the case studies precise and rich. The integrated franchise exchange model brings all the key ideas together comprehensively. A must read if your interested in what makes a succesful franchise partnership.

This book is a must for any future entrepreneur with a business acumen. There are real case studies written by people who have been in the business of franchising and know pretty much about everything from the inside. It makes a strong case, as the title suggests, that planned professionally and with care, one could have a successful career at this sort of business.Personally I would put a copy in every 6th form common room and university libraries as its an easy read for those who are thinking of entering the franchise world.

I'm currently studying towards a degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising, this book really helped with my module in Supply Chain Management and would be fantastic for anyone with franchising aspirations or similar study requirements.

Brilliant read. This book definitely helped with my studies. I am helping a family member that is looking to buy a franchise and it has all the information needed to start out.
